 The evolution of Madhu and RK's feelings for each other Part-10RK : He brings in Deepali to do a sexy item number with him to irritate Madhu. It's quite obvious he's trying to make her jealous, to get a rise out of her since she's been so unaffected by him lately.At the after party, he and Madhu get drunk and spend the night dancing, laughing, crying and then ultimately reconciling. This is one of the most important nights of their relationship even though sadly, they don't remember it till much later. This night gives a good insight into RK's psyche - He gets drunk, his inhibitions are down, his ego is latent, he's just himself right now.This is Rishabh at his most honest. His first instinct is to find Madhu. He has a goofy smile on his face when he finds her, he's just happy to be around her. When Madhu tells him that it hurts her every time she sees him, he replies that it hurts him too but he likes it, deserves it. He says he's dying inside. A part of him actually wants that to happen, his guilt about his Dad's suicide makes him feel unworthy of anything good that comes his way.A lot of people discount the fact that he was hurting right along side Madhu through all the betrayal and separation. But he likes the pain, the hurt, he's comfortable in it. He's in pain so he wants everyone around him to be hurting as well. It's selfish but it's a natural reaction to pain.When she's confused by his answers, he tells her that she should know what he should do, not him. This just shows how lost he is and how dependent he is on her. He asks her why he can't hate her, he's been trying so hard but he can't. He thought taking revenge on her would make him happy but he's only been hurting since then, thinking about her all the time.He's devastated when she tells him she hates him a lot. He admits that he was wrong in breaking her heart but now he doesn't know how to get her back.He doesn't know what he can do that'll bring back her trust in him. He thinks it's beyond hope now. He feels and knows that just apologizing is not enough. He's very lost at this point.Madhu : When RK brings in Deepali, Madhu is visibly annoyed and flustered, there's a hint of jealousy there. When she gets drunk, she doesn't forget her annoyance with RK but the venom is not there so much.She enjoys her time with him but her clear distrust of him still shines through. She believes everything he says is a lie but somehow he manages to convince her that he's only ever told her one lie - that he doesn't have a heart. She doesn't know how she can ever trust him again even if he apologizes. She tells him that she hates him, everytime she sees him, it gives her death, the pain is so great.  But when he begs her to come back to him, she can't stop herself.The happiness on her face when she hugs him is unparalleled. This clearly shows that even if she hates him, she loves him in equal measure. A beautiful metaphor of Madhu's character growth is her fear of darkness. When the show starts, Madhu's fear of darkness is repeatedly emphasized  Her fear of darkness represents her fear of the darkness in people, their evil nature. She's generally been surrounded by good people in her life, her Mom ran away from her husband to protect Madhu from his vile nature.Even through all her difficult times with RK, Madhu remains terrified of the darkness. This shows that despite everything  she's still naive and hasn't fully become comfortable with RK's monstrous dark side. But in this episode, she says she's no longer scared of the darkness. This shows that she's no longer in denial about his bad side, has accepted it and is not scared of it anymore. She knows how to deal with it now.
