What's pissing me off more is that Raja isn't even punished. I am so happy that old hag died at least from that he had to suffer a bit, but that wasn't even Madhu's fault. That is not even a fraction of the BS that Madhu had to tolerate from him and the villagers.
I get that yes the leads suffer but is there no light at the end of the tunnel.
No justice? No treatment of injustice with a sense of reality. C'mon man, it's disturbing. Had DD not been Madhu I would have stopped watching a long time back.

I have been a silent reader and visitor to IF since 2010 and never felt the need to comment on any post but this whole rape issue and the subsequent bashing/degrading of Madhu is unbelievable! people in this forum just do not want to believe that they r dealing with a rapist( it has not been disproved yet)and a killer(AK) and definitely a physically abusive man( the attempt to strangle Madhu and the slap, regardless of whatever reasoning anyone wants to give it). on top of this a simply brought up girl is suddenly FORCED to endure the likes of Raja's family. any normal person after going thru so much is bound to have their thinking and emotions in turmoil and behave in whichever way her mind and body can handle this. to say that she is disgusting,shows a lack of maturity and empathy for someone in her situation.If she wants to protect herself and for that reason not return to Raja's house, it is totally justified. the man kidnaps her dida, puts her mama chacha in jail and she is still dealing with the shock of the rape, yet people say she should not be selfish and sacrifice her life(because Raja has threatened her and he is capable of it) because Raja" really loves her"and she treated his family like dirt(which in my opinion they are)so she should pay for it with the torture or worse they will and can do to her. totally pathetic! Raja is the blind and totally uncouth kind of man who does not know or want to know any other way( as he himself has said he is who he is and will never change) and madhu's fate with him could be very dangerous. i know i've written a long essay, but being a mature 51yrs old female i am very surprised to see such viciousness towards a female who's life has been so traumatised!
I am only talking about the characters and not the actors.Am a huge fan of DD and VD both. If anyone feels the need to contradict my opinion, feel free but please be civil about it.

Raja doesn't wants her to through court with the rape case she will be drilled with terrible questions a rape victim goes it will be hell and traumatized . Because he did not do it that's why he loves her too much and don't want her to be hurt.

And just to add to my last statement,i do not belong to any Mahila Mandal. i live in the US and have been dealing with a lot of domestic rape/abuse victims for a very long time. that is the reason i feel that Madhu's emotions are all over the place with the kind of situations she has to deal with.

In my opinion, rape is rape. Madhu is not to be blamed. Why would anyone want to go back to someone who abused them? I am not sure why they are glorifying rape. Drugged or not, what Madhu went through was traumatic and completely unfair. No woman would want to go back to the man that raped her. No justifications whatsoever. I love this show, love both of the characters, but I am not sure why they had to show rape! Aren't things bad enough in India? Why promote rape? I think it is very illogical to show that Madhu eventually falls in love with her rapist and lives a happy married life. The fact is, the trauma and the pain will always be apart of her regardless of any fact. Raja being drugged does not make it any easier for Madhu to accept what happened to her.

yes it does happen But the reason is generally a lot of therapy for the man and marriage counseling and this only happens IF the woman is willing to try and has the strength to handle it(of course with a lot of help). though i have to say that it is very rare and majority of the times the couples do not make it together even after trying for a long period of time. in most cases the women just is not able to forgive and forget. it is probably even more traumatic than an unknown person committing the rape because this is the man who vowed to respect and honor them and yet committed the crime against the one he claims to love. in my experience, out of say 100 such cases, only 1 or 2 can ever completely get reconciled.
