Bahnni, the channel - at least as indicated by its abysmal total viewership - is getting proportionately far more reactions online. Offline viewership has gone from briefly lapsed to longtime lapsed.
If the channel gets from its current situation to having all its serials into the 2+ and 3+ spectrums, they may actually be reasonably expected to celebrate.
Majority-audience viewers who get used to not seeing what they want on one or most or all serials on a channel - whether the tracks are disinteresting or displeasing to their sensibilities - start switching to other channels. And they don't even come online to complain. So on the rare occasions when a channel sooner or later gives in to a fandom on some point, it's usually after a bit of time of that audience-lack of not enough millions of viewers hitting revenue via sponsors for that screentime.
Fortunately for MEIEJ, may or may not be a pyrrhic thing, but we are in the same boat as the channel's total viewership-amounts.
Every serial's each telecast track is either the channel's own idea or permitted by the channel. So if a few serials fail, and some succeed, then the flaw is in the serials. But if it's more across the board, then the channel's connect with majority-audience and the necessary staggering viewership it brings may also be in an unreassuring situation.

completely agree with what you've said Leela 👍🏼...for a channel who's mass viewership has taken a battering and that's for all its shows bar one(CNWK),online promotion may be one of the only strategies left to retain the existing viewers. What I fail to understand is why are all shows of Colors failing so miserably in the broad context? Its not that the offerings from other channels are any better tbh!! Time to change those at the helm of affairs in the head office 😆 not the shows😉

I feel like the channel is driving this track - I was reminded of Bhai times today.

All purely speculation of course.

I don't understand why is there no official conformation either way on the show's status...surely 2-3 weeks before the happening is enough time to announce the news😕

Its like the channel cannot even be bothered to do that . They are that much disinterested in the show😡. I don't know if anyone remembers there was a show called Chankya (which was quite popular and stared Ashish Sharma- Rudra from RR- ironically with similar looks as his current character 😆) that used to come on some channel that suddenly went off the air. The reason for the channel closing was some issue with the Broadcasting ministry and some financial dispute, but there was a similar petition to either save the show or let another channel take it up, there were offers too, but the channel creatives refused (they owned the right to the show) just to spite the people they believed to have offended them, they did not care for the audience, and did not even reply to the trending and petition
I do not have any hope from this channel nor the PH...🤢

Snehal, the channel is a flagship channel that was even reduced to battling with not viewership-successful flagship channels (Star Plus and Zee) but rather the subsidiary channel (LifeOK) of one of those. For even one day, it is an awkward situation. For one or two weeks, much more so.
And while in this worrying viewership-lack situation, it's just had a change of ownership.
No serial on a channel can show any track without it being the channel's idea or being permitted by the channel as potentially viewership-getting. None of the tracks of any of the serials have had the needed level of primetime viewership-amounts. The serials have gone from an average of acceptably commensurate 3+ TRP (with the poor TRP in mediocre barely acceptable 2+, and aspirations of an excellent 4+ TRP) to an average of abysmal noncommensurate 1+ TRP with hopes of somehow getting back to the barely acceptable 2+.

The channel can scrap some out of their total general range of viewership-lacking serials, and start new ones, and hope it buys them gloss over their previous many months of illconceived and drastically viewership-noncommensurate tracks regardless of whether the new serials do well to whatever extent or not. At the very least, it might be hoped to buy them months.

And as for the MEIEJ situation, every track for 15 months has been foreseeable in the first few days as unacceptable - either disinteresting or displeasing - to the massive needed majority-audience.

It's like if the valued - and desperately needed - patron is served something they don't want.
They refuse to have it, and the restaurant brings them the same food in another plate - ingenuously pretending that was the 'dish' being objected to.
If the restaurant keeps doing that, the patron won't be having what the restaurant is trying to forcefeed.
Rather, the patron will leave and opt for another restaurant which serves what the patron wants rather than what the restaurant prefers.

The current situation doesn't really make much sense.
If the landlord (channel) dislikes the tenant (series/PH), but the tenant is providing as much rent (viewership-success) as the other tenants (serials),
and the landlord generally ignores the tenant while dispensing attention (positively presented TV and online promotion) to the other tenants,
but the landlord and tenant may both expect the tenant to be leaving the apartment (screentime) in two days (months),
then the landlord choosing the tenant's major celebration-day to inform him that he may very likely have to leave the apartment the next afternoon (less than a month), thereby ensuring the celebration is cancelled, simply looks ungracious.

If the total viewership the channel is getting is worryingly less, then any of the total of viewership-noncommensurate serials remaining for two months - rather than closed off in less than a month - would make no difference, except in a gloss-attempt to blame serials for flopping with the channel's approved track-ideas, delivered with as ungracious timing as possible. :(

beautifully said Leela, I agree the channel has put its own foot in the axe by adopting an ostrich attitude of head in the sand and then conveniently and ungraciously blaming the serials.

Will Madhu agree to live with Raja again?

19 June 2014

Just when Madhu thought that all her woes are over, RK gives her a new shock

In the previous episode of Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, we saw how Madhu (Drashti Dhami) takes her rape case back coz Raj Kumar aka Raja (Vivian DSena) threatens to kill Dida (Shama Deshpande).
In the court, Madhu claims that Raja has asked for forgiveness and she is ready to forgive and live with him again.

After the court proceedings, Raja forces Madhu to come home with him, but she refuses, so he carries her on his shoulders and tries to forcibly take her home.
Luckily the cops arrive and warn Raja against it.

Back at RK's place, he promises his Dauji (Ravi Khanvilkar) that he will get Madhu back home at any cost so that he can take his revenge.
And Madhu tells her Dida that they should relocate to another city coz she has had enough traumas for one lifetime.

In the upcoming episode, Raja will again kidnap Dida and bring her to his place.
Agni - his sister (Shraddha Jaiswal) will call Madhu and tell her about her granny's location.
Madhu will rush to RK's place to save her Dida but this will be a trap.

Once Madhu is back in RK's house, he will imprison her and make her his captive. Madhu will have no other option but to live with Raja in order to save her grandmother.

Wonder what Raja will do to Madhu next to avenge the death of his Baiji (Jaya Bhattacharya).
