Neela, I don't have such hopes, though would love to be mistaken.
The CVs have miscalculated every track for more than a year.
They want the audience to react according to what the track needs, they push their idea for several weeks, and finally close the track with lack of viewership.
But each track, it was always clear at the outset that there would be viewership-loss because of what track-factors.
This time, the longer JM takes to forgive, the more the loss.
And if Raja is sentenced to jail under a law which does not exist, the channel will deserve to face every nonfictional wronged wife who is misled into thinking it's legally possible and then hurt with the knowledge that it's not.
Every top TRP series got that viewership by showing what the progressive audience didn't want to see. Once majority-audience loves the leads conservatives-pleasing characterization enough, then they will accept wife's career and other progressive things. That takes at least a year of effort to ignore the cosmopolitan viewers and cater to the conservatives.
If MEIEJ had done it like that, they would have commensurate viewership, visibly generous budget, and TRP in minimum 3+ spectrum rather than maximum 1+ spectrum each week.
