I was reading all these articles when this frustration took over me and i just thought to share what i felt was going wrong with the show.
I dont know when will the CVs understand what their show was and why we used to watch it. What we the audience believed was the USP of the show. Strong Characters
From Rishbala to Roma. Everyone was strong and standing up for themselves characters.
Roma-such high headed woman who thrashed even the men around her and risked everything to save Padmini and her daughters.
Malik-so much trusting on himself and his values that he risked his life to save an unknown woman and her children. I cant forget that scene where he had held Balraj's jeep with a rope.
And not even that he went on to attack RK for meddling with his daughter's life.
Padmini-can anyone forget her red painted face and the way she screamed at those men following her. And then raising her daughters against all odds and making them responsible individuals.
Balraj-i think the most twisted villain ever.
Deepali- never accepting defeat. Cunning and ruthless in her own way. Even drugged RK and dressed as Madhu to seduce him.
Madhu and RK-obviously i can go on to narrate whole serial in that.
The show's Ups were when the characters were strong. Madhu and RK even when they were against each other. When they hated each other they were strong in their stand. Then when they loved each other they were strong in that. Standing with each other in all conditions. Then again hating each other with the Revenge track but both stood head high. The golden period it was.
The show's lows were when the characters loosened their strength.
When Madhu unnecessarily involved Sultan in her life when she brought him to chawl. That was contradictory to her character qhich always stood up for right and here she supported a gangster. And then not to forget being the 3rd angle in the story rejected outright.
When Sultan blackmailed Madhu and RK was reduced to brainless man. Who just sat in thw jail waiting for his biwi to do some miracle while she jst acted even more stupid by dancing on sultan's tunes.
Lets not talk of heroine track with Paabo having all control over all mental and physical faculties of Madhu and she acting equally dumb and just doing all those nivarans. Then what the movie was we know well.
Paralysis track with RK being overtly insecure and obviously we knew it was setting in of abhiman track though the creatives negatedit but we were as always right.
Riya track was uutter disaster as again RK was contracting himself. He was ruthless, cruel, dominating, revengeful but never a person to find solace anywhere except Madhu. He was the one who believed that they had the 'haq' to even hirt each other but no-one else.
Then came KRK. Though he was cute but again RK being reduced to a stupid man who did nothing except for changing sweaters believeing on his biwi's Out-Of-The-Garbage-Box idea. And then turning all devdas trapped in jail.
And after all this happened these tracks just wrapped up in a week when decided so.
And now we have week and frail leads. Who just laugh amd jump and be adorable and of course we are in love with them but every person around pushes them and downcasts them. AK being the puppet player and these two just being the puppets. Leela and Sweety are just useless and i just dont know why they are hanging around. Pam and nikhil were strong and also good actors but they have been sidelined so much. Ananya was a good character but again she is too sidelined. Nothing positive and only negative and that too to thw extreme. The good chocolate boy golden hearted AK suddenly has become a ruthless brutal villain and that too over the top.
Madhu not doing anything except playing woth Raju. I mean its cute and we love it but at least do something solid too. And i dont know why this girl doesnt want to think about who she is. She has come to know that her whole identity was fake till this day and she is least bothered about it. Raju- i dont know what to say. We were told he has a lot more to the character but i dont know when cvs would stop judging our mood about him and do something to bring that lot more into light. How long they expect the audience to tag along if they dont want to spill the beans in fear of loosing a plot idea by opening it up.
They are not touching JM-Rishbala, they are not touching Raju's identity, they are not touching Radha ji coming to know of Madhu. Uptil when they would save these plots. 🥱
