Note: Oppa is a term of affection in Korean. Why am I using it? I don't f**king know. Just deal with my mood swings, okay? Enjoy!

He opened his eyes to the beeping of machines and the pungent scent of disinfectant assaulting his senses. A warm touch embraced his fingers, feeding life to his numbness. A head full of dark, stick straight hair was buried his chest, her breathing light as a feather. Although she was fast asleep her fluttering eyelids told another tale- her rest was anxious, aching to straighten awake.

"Oye", he poked her once or twice and she shook upright.

Her mouth opened and closed in shock and all she managed to get out was a sudden flood of tears.

"O. O. O...", she said amidst her fit of hyperventilated crying. "Doctor!", she screamed as she darted out of the room only to pop back in a second later. "The doctors are coming, they are going to make you better so...believe in me this once. I was the one at fault. I was wrong so, please don't punish yourself. Let me stay and watch you heal, um?"

He stared at her in a daze. This woman must be a goddess descended from the heavens because her blinding aura sure said so. A dimpled smile contrasted the sadness in her eyes. Her being was the perfect mix of emotions, all his dreams came true with just one look at her. She held on to his thumb as the doctors examined him up and down. Five exhausting hours passed in ease with him staring into her loving eyes.

"You must be my lover?" he questioned in sincerely.

"Oppa, do you really not remember anything? The doctors said you had retrograde amnesia but I was doubtful. You were always very smart, that's why. Well, we can't do much except wait for you to recover. How about your legs? Do you feel anything? The paralysis is temporary so don't stress too much. You'll be back to your old self in no time. I paid the hospital fees so, let's go home for now. My house is okay, right?"

He chuckled at how swiftly she avoided answering his question. But he wasn't backing down this easily. "Don't we live in the same house? You confirmed that you loved me".

Incidentally, she was just reaching to unbutton his shirt as he said that. He watched her turn beet red either from the mention of their past or his bare naked torso or both.

"I never said that", she tried to hide her blush in vain.

"You did now. Look at your face changing color", he teased her like this was natural. Maybe she was his goddess. Maybe that's how they lived before.

"Fine, I love you. Very much. Happy now?" she all but screamed and reached for his pants.

"What are you doing?" he covered his nipples with one hand and held on to his pajamas with the other.

"You've been wearing the same clothes for a week. Now that you're awake, I'll give you a bath".

She'd said that with confidence but when his underwear came off, she could look him in the eye. Her gaze diverted 180 degrees away from him, she fumbled with the sponge in his hands.

"Oh ho! Look where your putting your hands woman!" he purposely moved her fingers from his abdomen to the groin.

She pulled away citing "you can't fool an expert. I know the difference between what your abs...", she hesitated. "And the rest of your body feels like. Unlike you, I remember it all so stop!" she asserted but for him this was all a big joke.

He splashed some bath water on her and she turned toward him in murderous rage.

"Stop it oppa! You're only making it hard for me to control...", she sighed and left her comment unfinished.

"Control what? Eh woman, it's me. You don't have to control anything with me. Whatever your heart desires, do it. All of it".

"Yeah, yeah", she mumbled not knowing what to say. He pulled her in by the wrist until she was soaked in his bathwater.

"You know I am cripple now, right?"

She did not answer.

"If this were another woman, she would have left by now. Worst yet, pitied me. But you, you never stopped seeing me as a man. I matter so much to you that even at my lowest, I can make your heart race. When I was helpless in that hospital bed, when you had to see me naked, you never saw a sick patient. My legs don't work but that's not what you see in me. Your eyes are shy of looking below my waist. I make you blush even when I am half crippled. I am so thankful to have a woman like you by my side. So, I am going to be your man".

Her wet clothes were clinging to him. She relocated her body inside the tub so as not to put her weight on his lap. He simply smiled and tousled her hair.

"You hate me. You probably can't remember but...you don't like me anymore. You said I wasn't your wife. That our marriage wasn't legal so I had to leave. You hate me oppa".

He hissed and quickly questioned, "you are my wife?"

"Yes, but..."

He cut her off, "and you love me?"

"Yes".

"Then that's enough".

He pushed her against the tiled wall and leaned in for a kiss.

"Before we start, you know not all of my bottom is working, right?"
"Eh", she was suddenly in a playful mood. "What should be working is working oppa".

She crackled and he sealed it with a kiss. "You're a naughty one".
