and we have movie like Lamhe in which Anil kapoor's character loved both mother n daughter (Sridevi) back then in 90's and was popular ...

I don't no if I am right but their was also a movie
Where their was 2 Srivdies and one if the songs was To Na Ja mera
Bacha their Srivdie played the mother and daughter,
And I think the mom S died not sure

There is one movie starer Sunny Deol n Dimple Kapadia,I do not know name of the movie,Sunny Deol was Father n Son where Dimple wife of father SD.
There is one more movie of Amitab Bachan with South indian actress Soudarya,where Soudarya was sister of his Damanji(Daugher's hauband),she falled in love with son Amitabh Bachan.

There r countless old movies like that where son n father or mother n daughter r the same actors.
many old movies, all most all indian different language old films have daughter looks like her died mother,but her father do not problem with that.

She could be talking about Khuda Gawaah too Chakku .
It had the song Tu Na Ja Mere Baadshah...Ek Vaade Ke Liye EK Vaada Tod Ke. 😳

It also had Sridevi in double role, mom and daughter 😳...and both survived till the end 😳
