At night, RK asked Madhu, "Aaj pure din Kaki ke saath thi tum, khana banana sikhna chahiye tha na?"
M-Kyun?
RK-Nahi fir mujhe kacche aur jale huye khane se chutkara mil jata.
M-Itna hi agar problem hai mere banaye khane se to khud hi cook kiya karo?
RK showed her his tongue and turned to sleep.
Next morning RK got ready to leave for his interview. He was about to go out when Madhu called from back, "RK!!"
RK- Tokna zaroori tha?
M- EK minute ruko.
She brought a bowl from kitchen and said, "Yeh dahi shakkar hai. Meri mom kaha karti thi ki kissi bhi important kaam se pehle isse kha lo to kaam accha hota hai."
She offered a spoon and he ate it. RK remembered how before every exam, Radha used to give him this. Madhu said, "Best of luck. I hope ki tumhe yeh job mil jaye."
RK- Achanak se tum itni caring kyun ban rahi ho? Sach mein apne aap ko meri biwi maan ne lagi?
M- Nahi nahi, woh kya hai na, agar tumhe yeh job nahi mili na to kuch din aur mujhe hi ghar kharch chalana hoga issliye.
They both chuckled together and then RK left for his interview.
At evening when Madhu heared a knock on the door, she at once knew that it was RK. She rushed to open the door and was immediately greeted with a tight hug.
"I got the job! I got the job!!" RK said.
Madhu happily higged him back, "Congo!!!"
After a while as they realised that they were hugging each other they parted and Madhu smiled and said, "I have something for you."
She brought a bowl from the kitchen and handed it with a spoon to RK. He tasted it and in a surprised voice says, "Yeh kheer tumne banaya??"
"YES!!" Madhu tells him cheerfully, "Kaisa hai?"
RK- Its awesome yaar I don't believe it!!
Madhu smiled and then asked about his job.
RK- Ek software company mein job mili hai. Training hai 6 months ki fir permanent job. Stypen Rs. 15000 hai.
M- Thats good yaar!! Party to banti hai na??
RK- Okay!! To batao kab chahiye party??
M-Umm...sochke bataungi..
RK- Okay! Accha aaj dinner tumhe banana tha..
M- Haan janab aur main abhi laati hoon. Tab tak aap fresh ho jaiye.
A few days later Madhu had joined her job and both rishbala were busy in their life. One day, RK asked Madhu to come home as soon as possible and inform him before coming. He sounded tensed. So Madhu called him and came home a bit early than usual. She knocked the door several times but there was no reply. Fear gripped her heart and with trembling hands she opened the door with her keys.
The room was completely dark. No sign of life was to be seen." RK..." she called out.
"SURPRISE!!!!!" The entire room brightened in a moment and rose petals showered on her. Completely shocked she saw RK coming with a tray of cake and singing, "Happy Birthday to you..." He placed the tray on the nearby table and hugged her tightly, "happy Birthday Madhu!!!!"
M-Tum...Tumhe kaise pata chala??
RK- Tumhare voter id se..yaha rakhke chali gayi thi tum. So did you like my surprise?? I know its really very simple but I tried...
M- Its amazing!! You know what?? Meri life mein mujhe isse better birthday surprise kabhi mila hi nahi. I am...I am speechless. Thank you so much RK!!!
She hugged him tight. RK smiled, "Thank God you liked it.Okay chalo ab cake cutting time."
He lit the candles on the cake. Madhu sat in front of it and closed her eyes to make a wish. She slowly blew the candles while RK softly sang, "Happy Birthday to you..."
Madhu cut a piece and fed it to RK while he fed her back. Madhu suddenly took some cream and put it on RK. RK showing a fake anger took some cream to put on Madhu. A while later, both of them were running around the room, sometimes Madhu running behind RK ans sometimes RK running behind Madhu.
Finally RK caught Madhu tightly by her waist and was about to apply the cake on her. Madhu tightly closed her eyes and seeing her doing that in a cute manner, RK lost himself. He kept looking at her intensely. Feeling no response from RK, Madhu opened her eyes and saw him looking at her. She too lost herself in his eyes.

RK raised his hand slowly and started wiping the cream from Madhu's lips looking at them intently. Madhu felt goosebumps as he touched her. Rk closes on her and starts decreasing the distance between them.

Koi mujhko yun mila hai jaise banjaare ko ghar...

Suddenly Madhu's phone started ringing, bringing both of them out of their trance.Madhu picked it up and after she disconnected, RK said, "Abhi surprise baaki hai. Tum fresh ho kar aao."
As Madhu came out from the bathroom she was surprised to see the table beautifully laid with food. She looked at RK who was still busy decorating it and a smile crept over her lips. Seeing her standing he offered her the chiar to sit. But as she sat, everything was dark.
RK- Damn!! Loadsheding hone ka aur koi time nahi mila kya??
M- Cndles hogi dekho waha drawer mein.
After a while RK lit the candles and placed them in the middle of the table. Madhu smiled and both started to have dinner.
M-Yeh sab tumne cook kiya hai??
RK- Ab main itna accha cook kaha?? Hotel se mangwaya hai. Kyun pasand nahi aaya??
M- nahi nahi, accha hai, par tumhe kaise pata mujhe yeh sab accha lagta hai??
RK- See, maine ladkiyon pe phd ki hai. har type ki ladki meri girlfriend reh chuki hai...so it wasn't hard to guess...accha now everything is looking so perfect, isn't it??
M- Matlab??
RK- Haan...loadsheding hone ke baad hi to hua humara perfect sa candle light dinner.
Both chuckled and concentrated on eating.
Balraj furiously picked up the call, "HELLO!!!"
Caller- Balraj!! You are useless!! 3 elections Balraj!! 10 saal ho gaye...and still you could not win!!
B- Sir, aap meri baat suniye...
C- I don't want to listen to anything, just do me a favour and submit your resignation letter to the head office.
B- You can't force me to do that!!
C- Ofcourse I can!! Agar tumne party se resign nahi kiya then I am going to make resign from this world...you get that???
Balraj slammed the phone and said to himself, "You will pay for it Mohan Kundra!! You will pay for it!!"
