Steph, it's wonderful.
Hate the unwedding for unnecessarily making so many lovely months of episodes ambivalent. Unlike 2012, most of 2013 has had the theme of where a needleprick - or a huge fight or misunderstanding - would be enough, the CVs opt for a damn machete strike and then everyone starting next track. Excessive melodrama and depression value.

I know Lee :)
But the unwedding track was meant to happen :) and you know what :) It was simply the peak of their ishq and junoon I feel :)
I still go back to those episodes every now and then to remind myself f the good times :) yes.. even the unwedding time was awsome! 😆 Dunno why but all that pain, just makes me feel more closer to both of them! 😳 I truly felt bad for Madhu, cried with her.. and felt bad for RK cause he was unaware of his true feelings :) Id give anything to get those times back :) hinestly, after the bhai track.. the show went downhill :(

Steph, the unwedding didn't knock the TRP down out of 3+ because any horrific estrangement, so long as there's no other guy in the girl's life, mass-audience waits for 3-4 months for the couple to reunite. Another girl in the guy's life isn't considered a worry, just a temporary thing. Here, they started showing blood almost dipping into maang, getting attached to the man's kid and what-not, and ended up with having to amend the mess by getting the couple back into cohabiting by showing RK take her home by force rather than properly atone and earn her forgiveness.
May 2012 to Feb 2013, every track was original.
March 2013 to Jan 2014, every track is a copy-paste from Ekta Kapoor's serials.
And that too incorrect copy-paste, with the factors necessary for viewership done backfiringly here instead.
Like copying '2+2=4' but writing it as '2+3=4' to make it look different.
Every track which was a hit before went into 2+ and 1+ in this series.

True that, and very well said Lee!
Even I felt they rushed into new tracks as if they were in some sort of hurry when the the tracks should have moved in a slower and much more stable phase!
true! we would have waited for months for them to get back together..! I soo agree with you there!
even I felt RK should have reacted and acted differently instead of taking her back home forcefully :)
as for the Kekta tracks being copied! its not like we havent seen long lost brothers, or 'Brother from another Mother' tracks before right! dunno why its so hard for them to stick to something original when they were/are more than capable of doing so :(

Steph, every track got done pretty much during the first 10 years of satellit TV. Just a few channels, and writers would grumble about needing t not only create new stories but within the limited parameters of mass-audience acceptability.
And the track-ideas here were surprisingly original until March. From then onward, tracks were very specifically chosen from serials that might not have been seen by younger viewers teenagers or early 20s, but unfortunately had been seen in successful versions by older viewers and got very good viewership.
Not just basic idea but almost the whole track base was copied, but hero turned weak/bad/ineffective in each track - the one thing that the original track-versions had avoided.
It happens once, odd. But every track is one major track from an EK serial from several years back that many of the younger viewers may not have watched?
The CVs should give credit for TRP-flop to whoever did the track-ideas. From March-April, the variety of ideas was no longer original.
Thank heaven for the leads and the dialogues, and yet they blamed the leads last year and this year as well.
What about so many months when both slogged? Those tracks were doing well?
And unwedding was fine, but they should have hinted in advance that RK was planning something. We could see he's die for Madhu. But we should have been shown that he didn't realize he loved her.
Basic rule, never make audience feel like idiots. I don't understand how the heck the channel gave permission for the unwedding to be done like that as last-minute shock. And CVs can never show anything unless channel supports what they want or pushes what they don't want. So the final fault or credit is always the channel's.
