Perhaps CV's are thinking RK's character cannot be redeemed

They ruined RK's character so thoroughly with the madness of unwedding, his stubborn way of not listening to anybody when he puts his mind on something, his insecurities with his stardom, jealousy of his wife's stardom, blaming her for the miscarriage, bringing Ria in the house and insulting his wife by telling Ria to wear Madhu's clothes, Ria telling him lies that Madhu gave her spoilt tea etc and he not believing his with Madhu rather the strange newcomer in his life Ria. All of this has happened that if Madhu forgives this RK they is no turning anything around, so perhaps they are want to KILL RK and bring VD in again as the imposter RK whose character is going to be mild tempered like Shiv of Balika Vadhu celebrate his wife's successes, be supportive of her, also as he will be happy to be on top of the world he will only be happy with the attention from fans and media and won't mind if they request a solo picture of Madhu and not him or even if they request Madhu to act in films he will be thinking of the money they can earn if they are both earning in Bollywood.

But

I was thinking like the last part of what you said that people cannot stand this current ruined RK romancing with Madhu, so they would rather she went with someone else, however VD is the lead of the show, they cannot replace him, so they are stuck, and the only way they can do it is by introducing a new character but still keep VD on.

You are probably right, as we've had so much negativity and spoiler said "lookalike begins to cause trouble by misleading people with his acts" but I'm still hoping rather then a clown character like Sikky we get a Shiv from BV character, the considerate husband and the traits of old RK of jealousy and self destruction can be dealt with by replacing him with a duplicate RK.
