CHAPTER-19
RK's Cabin
RK was happy that he banged the contract but he really was in a fix.
"How did she know that they are very religious and orthodox? If she knew that why she didn't inform me and with whose permission she changed the statics in the presentation and also the arrangements?" he thought
Just then Sikki came into his cabin.
"RK where are you lost?" he asked
"Nothing Sikki" he said
"Are you angry? Why? We got the contract mera bhai and I think its time for some celebrations." He said
"Sikki now I am not in a mood to celebrate" he said
"RK come on tell me what is bothering you?" he asked
"Madhu" he said
"Now what did she do and RK why are you always behind her?" he asked
"What, am I behind her? Seriously Sikki you are nuts and besides you are taking her side. Are you my friend or hers?" he asked
"I like both of you so I support both of you guys and what did Madhu do now?" he asked
"She changed the presentation without my knowledge and also the arrangements and with whose permission" he said still angry with her
"RK she called me and informed about the clients and she also told me that since you were not picking her calls she informed me." Sikki said
RK was speechless and he didn't know how to respond.
"Then also she could have informed once she came to hand over the ppt to me" he said still defending
"RK she didn't know who were the clients then" he said
"Which means she didn't check their history" RK said
"Enough RK firstly she helped us with the contract and instead of thanking her you are simply blaming her." Sikki said
"But Sikki.." RK said
"No buts RK and during the party I want you to say thanks ok" he said
RK didn't respond to his request.
"I am waiting RK" Sikki said
"For What?" RK asked
"For your reply man" sikki said
"FINE I will say thanks" RK said
"Better" Sikki said and left the cabin
The arrangements for the party was handled by Madhu as Sikki gave the responsibility to Madhu. She arranged very well for the party. Since the clients were South Indian she arranged for South Indian dishes and the arrangements were also in the same format in simple sentence the party was simply South Indian types.
She was so much engrossed in her preparation that she didn't even realize RK coming towards her and she accidentally bumped on to him.
"I am sorry sir I didn't notice you coming" she asked for an apology
"That's ok Madhu. I have left a parcel in your cabin and I hope you like it and I want you to wear that in today's party. Don't consider it as a gift from my side or something. The cost of the dress will be deducted from the salary." He said in one go and left immediately without caring for her response.
"Oh god the theme of the party is western and I hope he has not gifted me a micro mini or something like that and if it so then how am I going to wear it." She thought
Madhu was literally shaking when she reached her cabin and while walking towards the parcel on the table.
"Oh Muruga(God) let it not be something vulgar" she thought
She reached for the parcel and she opened it with closed eyes and slightly whispering Muruga Muruga. She opened one of her eyes to give a glance at the dress. She was shocked to see that it was a pretty valentino. She knew that this dress would compliment both her beauty and culture. At that instant she held a good impression about RK in her heart.
Both Madhu and RK got ready for the party in their respective rooms. Madhu after getting ready came to the RK Mansion searching for Sikki and RK. Trishna also got ready for the party. Madhu was waiting in the hall when suddenly Trishna also came dressed.
Trishna: "Wow Madhu I must say you look gorgeous in this dress and it matches with you and your blush makes you even more beautiful"
Madhu: "Thanks Trishna, By the way are you also coming with us to the party?"
Trishna: "Yes and Sikki promised me he has something to show me and I am eagerly waiting for my gift."
Madhu: "That's great and I am so happy for you."
Trishna: "Thank you Madhu and what about Santhosh?"
Madhu: "He is having exams tomorrow so preparing well for that."
Trishna: "Ok. Why is it taking so long for them to get ready?"
Madhu(giggling): "Probably Sikki wants to look extra handsome today" and Trishna too joined.
Suddenly Sikki joined them followed by RK. RK after seeing Madhu was spell bound as she was looking more beautiful and the blush had an effect on him. He was simply glaring at Madhu and didn't even notice Trishna was standing there. Trishna and Madhu after seeing Sikki started laughing heavily. The sound of their giggle brought RK back to the world.
Sikki(to Trishna): "What happened jaan? Why are you laughing?"
RK(to Sikki): "I think I must get a mirror fixed on your dressing table Sikki. Look at what have you done to your got damn face."
Sikki went to his room and checked his face on to the mirror and got the shock of the life. It appeared as though he had a whitewash. RK also followed Sikki
RK(to Sikki): "What happened to you Sikki? Till yesterday you were alrite and today suddenly you behave so weirdly. What is the matter with you?"
Sikki: "RK mera bhai someone told me if we apply powder immediately after shower you will become fair and since I have never tried this I thought of trying it today as I am taking Trish for a date after the party."
After hearing his statement RK also laughed.
Sikki(making a puppy face): "See you are also laughing at me now. I want to look good today and also I am nervous."
RK: "Sikki I will help you"
Both Sikki and RK came downstairs after sometime.
Trish(hugging Sikki): "You look so great today."
Sikki: "That is RK's Magic' baby and today I have to look fab as I am taking the gorgeous Trish out rite."
After hearing the statement Trishna blushed heavily.
RK: "Sikki store the rest of compliment for the date and shall we move else we will reach once everybody leaves the party?"
As Sikki and Trish are having a date they took a separate car and they left. RK took the driver's seat of his car and glared at Madhu(showing he is still angry with Madhu for not informing her about the Presentation thing). She came to the car and was about to open the back door sensing his anger. Suddenly,
RK: "I am not your driver"
Madhu immediately closed the back door and took the passenger's seat. Still RK refused to start the engine.
Madhu to herself: "Now what this man really wants?"
Madhu(to RK): "What happened Chief?"
RK(without looking her): "Seat belt"
Madhu puts on her seat belt and he starts the engine. He drove harshly and it was when he switched on the music system he looked at Madhu. She was holding her fists tightly on to the seat belt and closed her eyes out of fear. Sensing her fear he slowly reduced the speed of the car and now he was driving with a speed limit 40 km/hr. She slowly opened her eyes and was surprised to see the speed of the car was reduced.
RK: "Are you afraid of harsh driving, Madhu?"
Madhu: "Yes"
RK: "Why????? I mean at you age everyone likes harsh driving"
Madhu: "But I hate it"
RK: "Why?"
Madhu(not looking at him and facing on to the window): "Coz it brings back my old fear and old memory"
RK(frowning): "Got it Boyfriend and stuff"
Madhu(harshly): "NO"
RK(surprised): "Then"
Madhu(getting irritated): "Coz it reminds me of my Amma-Appa's accident"
RK suddenly applied the break and due to the impact they leaned forward and suddenly backward. Madhu didn't react and turned her head towards the window. It was then he noticed the lone tear that was rolling towards her cheeks. He took the tissue box and gave it to Madhu. She took it and wiped off the tears and he started the engine.
RK: "I am sorry Madhu"
Madhu: "Its ok" faking a smile on her face.
They reached the party. All the reporters were eagerly waiting for RK(as he was a celebrity). As both Madhu and RK got down the paparazzi started taking their fotos.
