Chapter 2-Two banks of a River

Rk ran down the stairs literally to try and find Madhu. Bittuji sighed out of relief hearing that the doctor gave positive feedback to his Bhabi and her child. The next moment he came face to face with his chief.

Rk-"Bittuji Madhu kahan hai?"

B-"None of your business or should I say you don't need to worry about petty things. Just care only for yourself.You are God right?" that was the biggest slap he gave RK ever.

All of the others came out.

Dipali-"Bittuji mind your tone with RK, you are just his PA"

Pabbo-"Apni Aukat mein Rahiye"

Rk yelled-"Just shut up all"

D-"Rk but.."

Rk-One word more and I swear you ..."

D-"Rk par"

At that very precise moment Madhu walked in .Rk rushed to her and hugged her. Madhu however stood immune to all of it .She shrugged him off and walked up to her room.

Di-"Dekha how insensitive she is to you? You must chuck her out and.."

Rk-"What makes you think I will go for you Deepali after leaving Madhu?"

Pabbo looked up in shock..

D-"RK what are you talking about?"

Rk-"Shut up you B**** I wouldn't take you even if you were the last woman standing...I Really disgust myself for even having thought that I liked a woman like you...You are NOTHING...For once I sympathize Sikky for choosing someone like you..."

Madhu sat more comfortably on the chair and watched the whole live show...

Rk-"What is your problem huh? You always want to be the third woman in my life knowing I am married and happy with my Madhu..."

D-"You are not happy with her..."

Rk-"Sorry to burst your bubble but I am ,Infact much more happier than when we were together...With Madhu I have everything. The love of a mother, comfort of a dad ,She pampers me as her son ...everything...I don't need anyone other than her till I die..."

Pabbo felt her anger flare up...

P-"Rishu she is bad for you,Guruji said so"

Rk-"Sorry to burst your bubble but that old man is a criminal set up by Kuku Bhatia"

Radha-"What?"

Sikky entered and confessed-"Yes mummyji it is true"

RK-"You know what Pabbo, Dipali is the only bad nakshatra in my life."

D-"What?"

Sikky-"Not his alone but mine as well"

D-"Sikky?"

S-"Yup..What do you think..You are nothing but a leech .The biggest mistake of my life."

Rk-"Pabbo let me tell you the whole story along with what Dipali omitted".

Rk proceeded to tell everything about his and Dips relation, her dumping him, Madhu's past and everything about Sultan and till the end .Pabbo looked stunned and fumed more.

D-"Pabbo who.."

Pabbo slapped her across her face.

Finally Sikky did all the honors of throwing Dipali out of the house, divorcing her.

Throughout the whole event Madhu stood away watching the whole show without showing a single emotion across her face. Radha walked to her and stood in front of her ,head bowed down with shame and guilt. While Pabbo faced the same in front of Rk.

P-"Rishu"

R-"You have lost me Pabbo because of your stupidity...You did not do what is best for me but you wanted to shape my life the way you wanted"

Pabbo felt her tears ready to burst out...

2 weeks later

Rk checked his wrist watch for the nth time, and watched as Madhu came out from her room. Muttering up all his guts, he walked towards her.

Rk-"Madhu" and he saw her turn completely rigid. She turned to look at him with a firm jaw line and unreadable eyes.

Gone was the spark and zest to life, her ever living smile and the pure love which used to shine out of her for him. He had killed all of it with his own hands.

M-"I am waiting Mr. Kundra.."

Rk -"Madhu. I am really sorry. Can we please start over again...?"

M-"So that you can ditch me again right and that to for your ex-Girlfriend. What her name is...Ria.."

Rk-"No Madhu I..."

M-"Cut the crap, you are a flop actor now..."

Rk felt tears pooling up in his eyes...He stammered-"M..Madhu I know I wronged you terribly, but please let me make it up to you..."

M-"Why do you think should I let you back in my life?"

Rk-"Madhu. Biwi. Please..."

The word BIWI brought nothing but immense pain in her; it was shown in her face for a fleeting second and then disappeared.

Madhu opened her mouth to say something and at that precise moment her phone rang. That was all she needed and she walked away from the house leaving Rk on his knees. Radha bent down to him and scooped him in her arms. She felt helpless seeing her son like this but knew that he had brought it upon himself. Rk got up wiping his tears which were not stopping when his eyes met Pabbo's which reflected pain. She tried to move towards him when Rk stopped her, his expressions clearly showed contempt...

Rk-"Why Pabbo? Why have you made me push my happiness far away from me?"

Pabbo tried to speak despite guilt, pain and self hatredness but words failed her.

Rk walked into his room which now had nothing but photographs of his life and soul MADHUBALA...

Madhu walked in to her room after a very long time.
