When RK first mentioned about the only person he has spoken to about Madhu, I really thought this was an intro for Bittuji 😳 but when RK and Malik had that face to face, a lightening bolt hit!!! And of course knowing what he does, Malik would agree to wait 7 years. So sweet!!! Fate.
To the love story. I can't pin point how exactly but this story seems a little different compared to your other stories. Maybe the difference is in your writing style? I may have to go back and read this again.
Don't get me wrong - I loved this story also. Hmm, maybe the difference here was in the way RK had to romance his love ... hidden from others. And then Madhu's personality is different too.
But Madhu's thoughts were brilliantly written (👏) when RK first tells her that he loves her. She acted shocked but was also waiting for the part where the popular kids come in to make fun of her. And I was expecting the same.

You should reconsider writing this in RK's point of view. I know you may feel it might end up being repetitious but there are many areas that you can cover that were not covered here.
For example, his first meeting with Madhu through his eyes and how it is that she has captured his attention. and if she did not do this in the first meeting then when RK sees her the next day, what is his reaction?
How does he feel when Madhu does not acknowledge his presence?
How does he feel sitting behind her, noticing what she does, day in and day out. ( I am assuming this is when he was able to understand her so well that he practically reads her mind)
And the 2 month separation.
First day back to school.
Meeting Malik and talking about his feelings
The day before leaving for the school trip?
His conversation with his mother and telling her about Madhu?
