She would have fulfilled all the poojas and penances Pabho wanted her to do and still have made it to the shoot in time to give her best if Dips and Pabho did not play dirty. She could have observed the fast and still given the shots perfectly had RK gone as per the original schedule and not forced her to do a dining scene or thrust a double shift not only on her but the rest of the crew.

I agree with you. I guess I used the wrong word. I shouldn't have said RK failed to understand but that RK did not get the opportunity to understand that his wife is well capable of discharging both the responsibilities.




RK didn't know what kind of pooja did she perform as a nivaran, he saw her bleeding feet... she didn't tell why she did this pooja or who asked her to do it...she didn't tell him what was upsetting her on the first day of the shoot, she was completely zoned out... he's only noticing the end result of it ke Madhu brings some or the other issue of home at work & this is not done !

Yes, RK was seeing only the end result and although he tried to find out why she was going through these extreme measures, our dear girl is stubbornly refusing to reveal all. To his credit, he did warn people off her and told her she needs to fulfill only the responsibility of his heroine not only to make her life easy but his own easy as well because then she will give it her best to the film.



on the day of KC, she had to break her fast so she got the script changed...obviously he will be irked , she is so adamant..😆 he explained her , fought with her, changed her scene, shouted at her publicly , got her back from home, n she was back to square one ke mujhe KC manana hai..

Agreed Madhu is adamant but so is RK. He has decided that Madhu will perform only the role of heroine and she has to fall in line. If anything he should have realised by now that if he is ziddi, his wife is double ziddi, even to the detriment of her own health.

There is one other factor at work which I did not cover in my post. RK could have been bent on breaking Madhu's fast because he had seen the effect the previous year when she fainted. Although that was primarily because of food poisoning, RK may have thought Madhu is not strong enough to maintain the fast as well as perform her role. If she faints again, the shoot will again go for a toss. So his harshness could have been driven by his need to preserve her health as well as preserve the shooting schedule which has already seen a lot of hiccups.

If she can have it in a comfortable way, that she's freed from all the responsibilities and expectations, they why does she want to take up the tougher route? If she doesn't have RK or Radha's support, she can neither be a good wife or a good bahu or both ..

Madhu perceives a dire need to do it not only because she staunchly believes in this ritual - remember she went through all the elaborate charade of hoodwinking RK and keeping the fast even when their relationship was not on solid ground and there was no guarantee RK will break her fast. It is also because of the fear she has deep down that she could someone be the reason for RK's future destruction (based on what Pabho has told her). She would not want to do anything which will later jeaopardise RK's life.


Yes, without RK's and Radhaji's support she can neither be a good wife or a good bahu as perceived by them. that does not mean she is not a good wife or a good bahu. In the present context, she cannot please them both because one does not want the fast and the other wants it. She has decided to follow what she wants to do. She has remained faithful to her conscience by doing what her husband wanted her to do - shoot the dining scene and also what her Mil wanted her to do - observe fast, which by the way coincided with her own want. She now looks bad to both of them but did she fail in her duty towards both? No she did not. It is another thing that right now both don't know it and resent her behaviour but the minute they will come to know it, they will be the first to acknowledge her worth. Given the need to prolong the story, though, we may not see that realisation coming soon.

If RK was being selfish bec. he wants Madhu to be his heroine first, Madhu was also being selfish to ignore his wish , no matter if it was for his long life or whatever...he expects support and understanding from her and she's being stubborn to go against him for his sake..n it's the same with Madhu..she expects RK to understand her emotions behind fasting but he's being stubborn n not ready to understand...so both were being pigheaded...but IMO they turned against each other for each other , that shows that their crazily in love with each other..and those 2 idiots were rejoicing that they created a rift b/w RM 😆

That is exactly what I said. Both are being pigheaded and both may be wrong in the manner in which they are going about this but then as I said, the events of the immediate past - Guruji's prediction in the case of Madhu and Madhu's recent unprofessionalism and MC's chiding in the case of RK are playing upon their minds. Their behaviour is well within their character sketch. So I do not have complaints.

an excellent analysis of our leads and their nature 👏...but while Madhu is ruled by gentle and caring emotions,RK's personality traits are destructive in nature...detrimental to himself and his relationships...and i agree with you completely when u say that his 'true' nature simmers just under the surface waiting for the slightest provocation to rear its ugly head.
