I can fathom why fans are upset with the episode, but its actually not that bad. Quite understandable !Doing RK movie is like a job for her to help and support her husband ...she understands the stand taken by him, but expecting her to leave everything aside for a movie, which she isnt halting or stopping intentionally, is irrational ! ...she isint any creative person who can feel passionate abt movies all of sudden just because RK says so . Madhu wanted to keep KC despite disapproval since its about RK first and his life ! She wants to hold on to her simple life without letting RK down on professional front ...but it will take some to be pro in multitasking.RK doesnt want to lose his career, Madhu doesnt want to lose her simple life ...whosoever, comes and challenges them in their comfort zone bears the wrath! No one is at fault ! ..Its just human nature to react when someone tries to crash ur dream world !Can we expect RK to do rituals or get involved in family issues like Madhu does ? Then why such high expectations from Madhu to become a consummate heroine to switch from one gear to another in no time ? They might love each other to the extremes, but on practical grounds, their priorities are different and ideally, they would never compromise on it ! ..Its just about reaching a common ground, which sooner or later, they will find out hopefully !PS: avoid if it looks like ranting !
You are right. RK's passion is acting and he will go to any length to protect his career from collapsing. Madhu's interest lies in being the devoted wife, dil and future mom to RK's babies. The derailment of RK's career has forced her into a field she is least interested in and maybe even fears and detests. She is willing to alter her plans so as to keep RK from financial ruin but she is not willing to alter her life completely. She is unwilling to budge in the KC fasting because it is not only a ritual she wants to follow but it also involves her belief that RK's life will be prolonged by completing it. Nothing, not even RK's tantrums or his humiliating and insulting her will come in the way of her prayers and fasting for his life. She expected him to understand that but then RK too is expecting her to understand his predicament. If the woman has a repeat of the fainting spell of the previous KC, the shooting for his film will be shelved for one more day. He has far too much riding on this film - reputation, money, his very house which has been mortgaged to get the loan.
As you said, both would have to find a middle ground but for that RK has to cool first. Would his family and foes let him cool off? Or would this snowball into further crisis? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
One thing is certain though. Madhu's journey into filmdom is not going to be smooth and at some point her family life is going to suffer big time. RK would not make it any easier as his strong personality is going to be a thorn in the flesh.
