PART 6

RK was a family man now- loving and caring parents, a lovely wife with a cute gift from the God, their angel. Life was almost perfect for them. Nobody could even realize how the day passed on. Everybody was too busy with their new member. Radha and Mohan used to spend their entire day with their granddaughter. They had named her Sara. And when RK returned from his office, he used to take her custody. He was very possessive for his Sara. He not even let anybody touch her when she was in her arms- not even Trishna. Both of them always used to have a sweet fight for their daughter. "RK!! This is really not fair!!" Trishna shouted. "She is my daughter too...!" "Yeah... She is your daughter but for me, she is my angel... my private angel! And I don't allow anybody to touch my private possessions... Got it!" RK replied while giggling on seeing his daughter smiling on his feather touch on her cheeks. He gently kissed on her small chubby cheeks. Trishna knew, there is no point in arguing with him so she always backed off. Time was flying fast. Sara was now 2 months old. Now she was no more a whole day sleeping child. She had started doing the small childish antics and to Trishna's peace, she was not a crying baby. Anybody could take her in his arms and she would reply him with a small angelic smile, making his heart go gaga.

On one usual morning, RK was in his room, lying on the couch lazily and reading the newspaper with the morning coffee sips. Trishna came near him and sat silently. "RK!" She spoke. "Hmmm.." He replied still concentrating in his newspaper. Trishna patted on his leg in irritation. "RK... I want to go to Maa's place!" RK was about take a sip from his coffee mug but stopped in mid-way and looked at her. "I was willing to meet her since many days... It's been months since I met Dad, Maa, Madhu!" Trishna spoke willingly. RK straightened himself on the couch and looked at her seriously. Trishna got confused a little bit on seeing him. "So... for how many days you've planned your holidays?" He asked firmly. "For 1 week.." She replied. "And what about Sara?" "Of course, she'll go with me!" Trishna blurted. RK threw the newspaper aside and got up fuming. Trishna didn't get him. "What happened RK? Why are you behaving like this?" "What does that mean Trishu?" He turned to her fuming. "First of all, you are going to your Maa's place for one week and to its addition, you are taking Sara away with you!! Didn't you think of me once?" Hearing this, Trishna smiled. "Awww..." She side hugged him around his neck. "It's only a week RK!" RK held her hand. "And you know no, Sara needs me!" "Hmmm..." "I'll be back soon!" And she hugged him tightly.

"Hello Maa!" Next day, Trishna called Padmini about her arrival. "I have talked to RK and we'll leave today!" Padmini got happy to hear the news. They quickly hanged up and went for the preparations. Padmini informed Madhu too about it and she almost got mad at it. She cleaned their room from the scratch herself, started to prepare Trishna's favourite dishes. Padmini was shocked to see her cooking. Padmini and Madhu changed the entire look of the house, just the way Trishna liked. On the other end, Trishna and RK were ready to leave for Malik's house. Both of them, along with Sara, took a leave from Radha and Mohan. Radha took little Sara in her arms and kissed her little forehead, sobbing. "Maa!" RK spoke. "Trishu and Sara are not going out of the city that you are crying like this... They will be here after a week only!" He chuckled. Radha patted his arm playfully. Mohan blessed both of his daughters and they left for their destination. After an hour, they reached home. Madhu was pacing in the hall in anxiety when she heard the horn. She almost ran towards the gate to welcome her Didu. She opened the door and Trishna was standing there with her angel in her arms along with RK. Tears formed in Madhu's eyes. She immediately hugged her and cried quietly. Trishna hugged her back; both the sisters let their tears flow out. Suddenly, a little cry broke their trance. Then they realized that they had almost crushed little Sara between them. Madhu quickly took her angel in her arms and kissed her bubbly cheeks and to her surprise, little Sara responded with a smile. "Awww... She is just like me Didu!!" Madhu drooled. Till then Padmini and Malik came there too and greeted their daughter and son-in-law. In the hall, "This is very bad Madhubala !" RK spoke seriously. Madhu, who was busy in playing with her doll, looked up at him in surprise. "What happened Jiju?" "You only greeted your Didu and Sara, didn't even notice me...hunnn.." RK pouted. "Oh! I am so sorry Jiju!" And she got up from sofa and hugged him tightly to which he responded in the same manner. After few minutes of chit- chat, RK asked for his leave. He took his Sara in his arms gently and kissed her. "I'll miss you my darling!" And unknowingly, Sara's little hand touched his cheek. He held it and kissed her tiny hand. "And what about me?" Trishna whispered in his ear. "We'll see!" RK smirked, irritating his wife. Soon after RK left, all got busy with their chit chats and the entire day passed like that.

At night, Trishna entered her room, carrying the milk bottle for Sara, when she heard Madhu talking to someone. "I know, but I need some time. Please try and understand!" Madhu was trying to convince someone. Trishna stopped at the door and hid behind the curtains to listen to her conversation. "I can understand but I need time to disclose it in my family... I know your family is ready but what about me? Please help me no!" "No! I don't want to listen anything. You have made a fool of me earlier too!" A reply came from the other side of the phone. "You told me that you'll disclose our relation at the time of your sister's wedding but suddenly you changed your mind... and now too! What is this Madhu?" "Please understand my situation... I... I am too scared!" Madhu pleaded. "What if they rejected our relation? What are we going to do? What am I going to do? Oh no! It's too scary!" Trishna was shocked to hear all that. "Whom is she talking to? She is in a relationship!!" "How can you predict that they'll reject us?" Voice came from other side. "I don't want any excuse. You are going to speak to them and it's final!" And he hanged up the phone. "Hello... Hello... Oh God! What should I do now?" She cursed herself. "What happened Madhu? What is disturbing you so much?" Trishna entered the room. Madhu's heart skipped a beat. Her eyes shot opened in fear. She immediately turned to face her Didu. "Ammm... Didu... You!!" Madhu panicked and sweat formed over her forehead. "Yes... Me... Shouldn't I be here? After all it's my bedroom too! Right Madhu !" Trishna put the bottle near the bed side and walked towards Madhu slowly raising her fear more. She stood in front of her and folded her arms and stared into her eyes. "What are you trying to hide Madhu?" She asked. "Nothing... Nothing Didu... Why would I... I... hide anything hunn..?" Madhu stammered. "It's anything or... ANYONE?" Trishna glared at her. Madhu looked up at her in shock. "Hmmm... That means I am right!" Madhu lowered her eyes. "I didn't expect this from you Madhu!" Trishna spoke furiously. "Even you can hide anything from me? I am shocked!! How could you do that? We are friends more than sisters and you..." Trishna looked away in anger and disappointment. Madhu's eyes got teary. She moved close to her and held her hand. "I am very sorry Didu... I was scared!" "OK! You were scared! But you could have at least told me! Couldn't you?" Madhu lowered down her head and a tear fell down. Both of them remained silent for a moment. "What is his name?" Trishna asked. Madhu immediately looked up and a small smile crept over her lips. "His name is Rohan." She replied. "Hmmm... Does he like you?" "He loves me Didu...!" She spoke slowly. "And you?" Madhu nodded in yes. "Since when you know each other?" Trishna enquired. "Didu, we did our MBA together in Australia. He belongs to a very nice business family. And I have met them too. They are so good. Right now, he has joined his father's business and will get settled there soon! Rohan is a nice man Didu and I think... he is perfect for me!" She blurted out in a single breath. "Hmm.. " Trishna thought for a moment. "OK! I want to meet him!" Hearing this, Madhu literally jumped and hugged her tightly to which Trishna responded the same. "Madhu, I want to meet him tomorrow and till then don't tell Dad and Maa about it... OK!" Madhu nodded affirmatively. "Didu, so I'll inform him now about it. He'll be very happy!" And she ran outside the room to call him.

Next day, as per they decided, they were to meet at the nearby park. Rohan reached there before time. Madhu and Trishna excused Padmini for going out for fun and assured to come back soon. They left Sara at home. After few minutes, they reached there too. Rohan was pacing to and fro under a tree. He turned and saw Madhu coming towards her. A huge smile took over his lips. He was about to walk towards her when he saw another girl coming along with her staring at him; he stopped in mid-way. Till then Madhu reached there. She wanted to hug him tightly but she couldn't as Trishna was with her. So she just winked at him and he responded the same. "So..." Trishna started the conversation. "You are Rohan!" He smiled. "RO... I mean Rohan, she is my Didu!" Madhu introduced her. "I know Madhu, you always talk about her so I didn't find it difficult to recognize her." This made Trishna's heart filled with content. "You want to marry my Madhu!" "Yes Trishna ji... I want to marry her to make her mine!" He replied with immense confidence. And his confidence filled Madhu's eyes with proud. "And what if I say no??" Trishna narrowed her eyes. "Then I'll try to convince you at my best and if you still won't agree then I'll call off our relationship!" His words dropped Madhu's face and a fear ran through her face. His words started to impress Trishna a lot. "Will you keep her happy?" She asked. "Everybody wants a happy life and I am not an exception... Madhu is my life!" Madhu heart filled with much love and respect for him. "I want to talk to her for a minute before I tell my decision." Rohan nodded and both the sisters went aside to talk. "Didu! Did you like him?" Madhu asked nervously. Trishna smiled at her. Before she could jump, Trishna held her hand to stop her. Rohan was staring at them nervously. After few minutes, they came back. Their faces were completely blank which made it difficult for Rohan to figure out anything. He stared at their faces curiously. And to his surprise, Madhu suddenly hugged him as tightly as she could. Trishna smiled at them. They broke the hug and Rohan spoke, "I have one request to you." Both the sisters looked at him. "For few days, I am going to Dubai for a business meeting. I'll be back most probably after 15 to 20 days. So, I just want this marriage to happen after that. I mean our parents can have a talk about it after that." He looked at them for their approval. In a moment, Trishna smiled at him giving him her approval. "As you say!"

PART 7

Madhu was very happy as her Didu has accepted her relationship with Rohan. Since he had gone for business tour, so both the sisters decided to reveal the news to their parents after his arrival only. The entire week passed smoothly. Sara, being a happy child, easily mingled with the members specially Madhu. She used to carry her in her arms the entire day- playing with her, pampering her, caring her. She was so much attached with Sara that she got the habit of sleeping with her only. Finally the day came for Trishna to leave. RK came early morning to pick her up. Madhu was sad since morning. She had got so habitual of Sara being around her that is why she was not in a mood to let her go away from her. Later, RK and Trishna gor ready to leave for home. "Didu!" Madhu spoke. "Please leave my Sara here for few more days! Please!" She requested. Trishna smiled at her awing. "Sweetheart... I could have done that but she is very small no! She needs mother's attention the most!" Trishna tried to convince her. "Didu... I'll take care of her! I promise, I'll not let her cry for a second! Please!" Trishna looked at RK helplessly. RK weakly smiled at her. "Madhu! I..." Trishna spoke. "Please Didu! I'll not give you any chance to complain! Trust me! And even Chachi is here too, we'll take care of her! Just for few days then I'll give her back to you in person... Please Didu!" Madhu pleaded. She moved close to Sara who was peacefully looking all around to figure out what was going on there. "Sara..!" Madhu called her lovingly. "C'mon... Tell your Mama, you want to be with you Maasi naa... C'mon baby!" Sara, unknowingly caressed Madhu's cheeks with her tiny hands as if she was approving her wish. Trishna laughed at her daughter's antic. "OK! You can keep her, but only for few days!" Trishna accepted. "Her Papa is missing her since many days!" She held RK's arms. RK was continuously looking at his daughter. Madhu looked at RK who seemed to be little sad. "Jiju!" she spoke. "I am sorry but I promise she'll be with you after few days!" Madhu assured him. RK took Sara in his arms and hugged her tightly. He kissed her cheeks and then, handed her to Madhu. Madhu excitedly carried her. "Madhu!" RK spoke. "Take good care of my angel. OK!" "She is my angel too... Right Sara?" Madhu giggled at Sara who responded with a cute smile. Soon, both of them left for home.

On their way, RK was quiet while driving. Trishna noticed it. "RK!" She broke the silence. "It's better that Sara would be with Madhu for few days..." "What?" RK looked at her questionably. "Yes... At least now you won't fight with me for few days and give me some time..." Trishna chuckled. RK smiled slightly. "Well... One more thing would happen!" Trishna looked at him confused. "What?" "We'll be able to plan for another Sara... Isn't it?" He smirked looking at her. He leaned towards her to kiss her cheeks when he saw her sitting without the seat belt. He fumed, "What is this Trishu?" "What?" "Why haven't you tied the seat belt?" "Because my hubby drives very carefully that I don't require any seat belt..." Trishna giggled. "Shut up Trishu! It's not a joke... C'mon put on the seat belt immediately!!" Trishna pouted and then stretched the belt from her side to tuck in but it blocked in mid-way. She tried a lot but it didn't help. "What happened?" He asked. "It's not coming out! I am trying hard but it's not coming out!" She spoke while struggling with the belt. RK left the steering from one hand and started to help Trishna. He also moved away his sight from the road. Both were struggling with the belt when they crossed a crossroad. RK was busy with the belt when Trishna raised her sight to the front glass and saw a truck coming towards them from front. She shouted, "RK!!!" Before RK could react to the situation, THUD...

On the other end, it was about an hour since Trishna has left. Suddenly, Sara started crying badly. Madhu ran towards her and picked her up in her arms and patted her back to calm her down. But she didn't stop crying. "Awww... Sara... Stop crying baby!! Sshhh..." Madhu pampered her a lot but she continued. Till then Padmini came there too. "Madhu! What happened? Why is she crying so much Beta?" "I don't know Chachi? She suddenly started crying! I think she is hungry!" Madhu replied worriedly while pampering Sara. "I think so... OK, let me get her milk!" And Padmini went to get her milk bottle. Madhu tried to feed her milk but she didn't even touch her mouth to the bottle and continued crying. "Chachi, I am worried! Why is she crying so much? Awww... Sara... No baby! Ssshhh..." Both of them were worried when suddenly the phone rang. Padmini quickly picked up the phone. "Hello!" "Hello... Padmini ji!" "Radha ji! Namaste!" Padmini replied happily. "Did Trishna and RK reach safely?" Madhu turned to listen to their conversation. Suddenly, she saw the phone dropped from Padmini's hand and she fell on the nearby sofa. Madhu ran towards her, "Chachi! Chachi... What happened? Are you OK?" Madhu shaked her but she didn't responded and tears started shedding through her eyes. Madhu panicked seeing her state. Madhu shaked her lot but she didn't reply. Madhu shouted, "Chachi... Please say something!" Till then Malik came there hearing the shouts. He ran towards Padmini and asked her the same. He cupped her face and turned towards himself and asked her. "Trishna...!!" And she broke down in his arms.

Everybody was there in the hospital pacing worriedly outside the operation theatre. Till then Malik and all too reached there. "What... What happened to her?" Malik asked anxiously to RK. "And... And RK... What happened to you? These bandages and all... Please tell me?" He pleaded. "Papa... We... We met with an accident on our way to home." He spoke in pain. Malik, Padmini and Madhu all got shocked to hear that. He explained the entire incident. "I saved because I was wearing the seat belt but she got caught badly... The hit hurted her head severely and..." RK was crying. Madhu stared at him with a little rage, unnoticed by anyone. Padmini broke down on the bench hearing all this. Radha and Madhu tried to console her. Suddenly, the doctor came out of the OT. RK, Mohan and Malik ran towards him, "How is she doctor? How is my wife? Is she alright?" RK asked him in single breath. The doctor stood silently. Everybody got confused. RK shaked him and asked loudly, "I am asking you something doctor!! How is Trishna?" "Mr Kundra... I... I can understand your situation but you have to be strong!" He spoke. "Strong... Why are you saying so?" Mohan asked confusingly. "Because she is no more!" A silence blew there for a moment. RK's world shattered in a moment. He thudded with the wall on his back, trying to figure out what just happened to him. Padmini, Radha all started crying badly. Madhu couldn't believe the fact that her Didu left her just now. Mohan gathered himself and tried to console RK and Malik. RK fell on the floor all lost and blank. Mohan supported him. He turned his face towards him and kissed his forehead. RK saw him and hugged him tightly and cried his heart out. Madhu was crying aloud. She saw RK's condition but somewhere in her heart, she didn't feel to console him. An unknown anger was in her eyes. She didn't say a word to him of condolence. On the other hand, Mohan tried to console his son's broken soul. "She left me Dad!! How can she do this to me? How can she do this to her daughter?" He hugged Mohan tightly and cried his heart out. "We have to be strong Rishu... Control yourself my son... Look... Look at me!" Mohan too cried quietly. He turned his face to look at him. "Rishu... You are not alone now Beta! You have a daughter too! You have to gather yourself once again... for yourself... for Sara... for us... for Trishna's soul! You have to do this Rishu... You have to..." And the father-son hugged once again. At late night, they took Trishna's dead body back to their home for her last rituals.
