They introduced the step brother track because they thought that the FAMILY DRAMA would work. But the track was SOOO BORINGGG that the TRPs only fell.

So they instantly changed the track and experimented by making Sultan a villain. But the damage had been done. Had he been shown as an obsessive psycho lover since the beginning and lead to RK being Madhu's saviour, then they wouldn't have had to get RM married and destroy their REVENGE TRACK.

Now that they have realised that the audience hates Sultan and wouldn't accept him in any form, they are killing him off permanently and introducing the Bollywood track.
