Drashti Dhami has done many advertisements and was known for her modelling before she forayed into the TV industry. She made her debut with the music video, "Saiyan Dil Mein Aana Re" by Harry Anand. She was later seen in a Punjabi music video "Nachle Soniye Tu" and in the remix version of "Humko Aaj Kal Hai Intezar". Before her debut in Dill Mill Gayye, Dhami appeared in commercial advertisements for products such as Chevrolet and Reliance Mobile. She has also done commercials for Colgate (toothpaste) with Saif Ali Khan, Lion Honey, Pulimoottil SILKS, Vasan Eye care, RKS Grand (Shopping Mall), Amul, VIP Bags and jewellery.
