I agree with you, she is lucky because during the time Balraj kidnapped her and the whole family, RK faced a lot of pain to release her from there, first he had to fight a gang of 4 or 5 men which beat him up badly, he then rushed there and was shot at with large ammunition arsenal guns still he got up from there, others would have just given up the fight, seeing Madhu's stool shot from under her and she is hanging from the neck only, not him he got up and went to face more pain they were dishing out to him with poles hitting his arms, his back when his holding her from hanging and he opened the ropes behind her back still he was looking how she is, he clearly loves her but didn't realise it at the time he just thought in my pretence of being in love I should just show these emotions but nobody even in pretence would go through that pain, Madhu is lucky to have him protecting her.
I've read your whole post and I agree so some parts of it, yes she is lucky and his a good protector and that's huge as I explained to what lengths he is willing to endure pain to have her in his life, also in your post you explained what happened in the courtroom and though it was bad for his case he still came to defend her honour against the prosecutor and probably because the case was already lost to him, the prosecutor told him so he just said to hell with it, I might as well kill him after all I'm going down for a murder I didn't commit and attacked him.
But what I don't agree with is Madhu should apologise to him for befriending a gangster and for RK facing this court proceedings now, because RK is equally to blame for being in that courtroom and facing a murder charge. He is the one who couldn't stand another man wanting to snatch Madhu from him (those were RK's words the morning of the fight that led to Sultan's shooting) he said I can't let it go and he loaded a gun and went to fight Sultan, she took him upstairs and told him it was a trap, he went with her and pretended he would not face Sultan and the morning after he went anyway. So why is it her fault alone here, he is responsible for his own actions even in the court Marathe questioned him and he admitted yes he intended to kill Sultan that is making his case for self defence weak just like the bribing charge made the case weak. Also the taunts Sultan was throwing at RK about naajayaz alaud are because RK himself insulted him at the bollywood party that he had no surname that he was illegitimate that's why Sultan also was taunting him the same way, so RK's ego was to blame for him insulting Sultan before that came back to haunt him.
RK's past record hit and run case whilst drunk injuring 2 persons, beating up a guy in a hotel, beating up the reporter breaking camera's also didn't help the case as it showed the court that he had a violent temperament and he was not in control of his emotions and in those times he loses his temper he can commit crimes and he doesn't care about the law or other people (exception is Madhu's life only).
