I am no big fan of the Rajnikant, but the kind of adulation he enjoys in the South has to be seen to be believed. To say they adore him to the core will be an understatement, bcos its much, much, more than that.

The adulation Rajnikant enjoys is so enormous that the theatre audience will not tolerate Rajnikant taking a single hit by his opponent. For them Rajnikant is invincible and omnipotent. He is the demi-god for the theatre goers there.
Now coming to RK, the CVs or the Channelwalas for that matter when they started penning this character may not have realised that this character would go out of the their hands. But the character RK has grown uncontrollably much beyond their expectations aided by Vivian Dsenas strong performance.
RK's character has grown and taken roots in the hearts of audience to such an extent that to even think he is fallible is untolerable to the majority viewers. The audience has grown to truly love him with all his faults and with all his evil ways. He cannot fail, he is after all RK. To them he can never be an ordinary mortal who can fail some times.
Just as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's creation Sherlock Holmes, grew greater than its creator and he killed him off. But the fans refused to accept his death and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was forced to bring him back from his literary death.
Likewise, we now see the CVs and Channel attempting to tame the egoistic RK. But they fail to realise that their creation has grown beyond what they intended him to be. Any attempts to tame him or bring him down through anyone else will only backfire in a big way. Bcos the viewers have got used to the invincible RK. Any attempts to make him fail, will be intolerable for the majority viewers and will only make the show fail.
So dont try to tame RK, CVs.

Excellent post. I thought of this too. Rather than accommodating Sultan a non stop effort is going on to bring down the character they created,It is blatantly obvious.Doyle killed Holmes literally and he had the courage to do that. Our folks lack that courage and try to fool their audience by playing under hand tricks.R.K. is the Sherlock Holmes of Madhubala. I am unable to believe what ego could do to the CV's. It turns them blind and suicidal. I started watching the show for pretty Drasthi. I am not her fan and did not watch her previous serial. I liked her fresh and girl next door looks and acting. When R.K entered I was not impressed by Vivian to be honest. But now I stick on to the show only for his acting. He made R.K. convincing of course backed with a strong story line. It is a team effort, Failing to realize this fact has done the damage. R.K is invincible. Making him suffer like an ordinary soap hero will not work.
