@AA- My question to u. Has madhu ever considered sultan's act of lower level. I thnk she has always supported him by helping him. So why you are thinking that madhu doesnt want rk to stoop to sultan's level its coz of her he is depicted as goldie.
This is strictly my interpretation: I know Madhu is shown as having a high regard for Sultan, but I think, honestly speaking, that she expects more out of RK because he is her husband. She knows Sultan is a gangster and so is not surprised when he whips out a gun (a huge inconsistency on the part of the CV's but what can you do?). But RK is a superstar, not a gangster, and more importantly, for Madhu he has changed for the better over the course of their marriage. So she does not want him to regress back to who he was, and she expects better from him. At the same time, what happens if RK does anything illegal is different than if Sultan does anything illegal. Sultan can get out of jail no prob, and has no expectations of a character assassination. RK is a public figure so his standing is higher- he has more to lose.
I guess the best way to explain is this: We hold those that are close to us to higher standards, precisely because we know them and expect to do their best. If a stranger does something stupid, does it bother us as much? Compared to RK, Sultan is a stranger to Madhu.
I hope that made sense.
