Yes his a changed person, you might be onto something there genger. His angry at his father and wants to destroy his father's memory but his ego at the same time will be shattered.

You maybe right that there is more to the story yet to be revealed but in the meantime we are only reacting to the fact now RK has understood that his father, did father another child and was married before too, that child could be Sultan, that's what the serial is showing now and RK did taunt Sultan that he doesn't have a last name, meaning he doesn't know his father and is illegitimate that is a very bad thing to say to someone, so now this twist showing Radhaji's marriage may not be valid and the newspaper calling him Naajayaz makes you think does it that never call others names because it could turn round and bite you back, in this case it's looking like he is the one that is illegitimate. So we are just here appreciating the twist that the CV's have made in the show currently, hence the applause.

By the way it was Sultan himself alluded to the fact that he was illegitimate when he refused to give out surname when he knows he had a mother and father ,what was stopping him to say his surname and acknowledge his parents even if father abonded him and mother died , So why blame others calling nazayaz when he himself refused to acknowledge he had father multiple times.

And by not giving out info of his mothers surname he was insulting his dead mother as though she is a mistress when she was not and legally married to rashid

Great Post Rita.
You have hit the nail right on the head.
Words used for others to make them feel small and humiliate them have always come back to bite them.
The scale of justice have been balanced and whether R.K. likes it or not the universe has given him the answer that sheer arrogance and pride always fall.
The higher you think you are the faster you fall.
Now to see if R.K. will handle this as a MAN or show that he is after all an apple that did not fall far from the tree !!

He didn't refuse to give out a surname. He said he didn't know his surname. His father left him and his mother when he was very young, and his mother died also some years later. So he never actually got to know it.

And even if he knew it, and he was simply refusing to acknowledge it--that STILL doesn't allude to illegitimacy. When you refuse to acknowledge your father, it doesn't make you illegitimate. His father was married to his mother, and he left them--in both cases, his real father and foster father. That's not what makes a child 'illegitimate.'

And by the way, RK's taunts on lack of a Surname were also a taunt on Sultan's social status. There are very few people of middle to high social status who have no surnames. They soon tend to take on one. But go to the lower rungs, and yeah there are still people who still go only by one name--and no it doesn't mean that they are illegitimate children.

Good post!

Pride goes before a fall, they say.

And RK's pride, his arrogance and his attempt to hit Sultan below the belt by bringing in his surname, illegitiamcy and social status has backfired.

Of course, it doesn't matter what your surname is, who your parents were - it's what YOU do that matters. It's a learning curve for him - I hope he becomes a better man.
