TOI: TV shows running on wedding track-MB

A wedding marks the beginning of a new chapter ' be it in real life or reel. No wonder then, that television producers smartly weave twists and turns into the tale along with weddings. These highpoints, coupled with the shaadi itself, is a sure-shot formula for high TRPs. We bring you a list of shows busy with 'wedding preparations':

Chhanchhan
This is one shaadi that will be devoid of the usualtaam-jhaam, as Chhanchhan and Manav will have an eco-friendly wedding. Instead of boisterous banquet halls, the on-screen couple will take their saat pheras in an art gallery. The kids in attendance at the wedding will ensure there's no litter. But a 'clean' wedding doesn't mean viewers will be deprived of a twist.

Ek Ghar Banaunga
Viewers can look forward to some high-octane drama around the wedding of Poonam and Gautam. Mehendi, haldi and sangeet ceremonies are already over. But prior to the wedding, the protagonist's father suffered a heart attack and fell off the roof.

Rishton ke Bhanwar Mein Uljhi Niyati
During the sangeet and mehendi, the mandap will accidentally catch fire. Niyati, whose mother-in-law gets engulfed in flames, will come to her rescue and consequently, will burn herself. Apparently, this track is loosely based on the plot of the film,Vivaah, starring Amrita Rao and Shahid Kapoor.

Qubool Hain
While Zoya is preparing for her sangeet, mehendi and then nikaah with Asad, antagonist Tanveer challenges her saying she will see to it that the bride herself refuses to put mehendi. Zoya accepts the challenge and that's how the drama unfolds. The rituals will be telecast next week.

Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke
Mayank and Gunjan's wedding will be sans drama or twist. A long affair, the rituals will include haldi, mehendi and sangeet.

Bani: Ishq Da Kalma
The wedding, a traditional one with rituals like sangeet, haldi and mehendi, will have artistes from all shows on the channel attending it.

Madhubala
Madhubala and RK's wedding is already underway. After pre-wedding rituals, the shaadi has finally begun.

Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuchh Kaha: Season-2
Navika and Beera are set to tie the knot. Celebrations have already begun with sagai. It will be followed by haldi, sangeet and shaadi. Adding to the drama, Rimjhim is trying to bring Mohan and Megha closer.

Upcoming wedding sequences

Amita Ka Amit
The show is gearing up for yet another wedding slated to air next month. Protagonist Amita's friend Preeti is engaged to Sanjay, a divorcee. They will tie the knot soon.

Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai
Though the makers planned a grand wedding for Vikram and Shree, the decision to end the show brought all plans to a halt. The track will end with pre-wedding rituals, we hear.
