CH - 4
RK and their family sat on the sofa, RK's heart was as usual beating fast. And then Mr. Malik came. Everyone greeted him, RK touched his feet. And then they all started talking. Radha ji said -
" You all have a beautiful house..And I love the garden outside! "
" You do? Wow. Everyone loves it! Ask why? "
" Why? "
" Because Madhu takes care of it on her own.."
" Wow..good.."
They all talked, discussed, laughed, and after 5 minutes -
" Ok, Now Padmini ji and Shamsher ji, We would like to see your daughter! "
RK skipped a beat.
" Oh yes! Of course! Moona..! "
Radha ji called the servant, Moona came running towards her.
" Ji Malkin? "
" Moona go and call Trishna and Madhu.."
" Ji Malkin, they must be in the kitchen, I'll call them! "
Moona said and rushed to the kitchen. RK could again feel his heart beat in his ears. He sat up straight, with a calm face, he decided to be strong, but normal. Before he could think more, he heard foot-steps coming..
" Oh! There they are! "
Padmini said smiling, all of them smiled, but RK's face was still. After seeing all smiling, he gave a small plastic smile, And then -
Madhubala came..with a big tray in her hand..
RK almost lost himself seeing such a unique beauty in front of him.
Madhubala was wearing a blue, long Anarkali. It had only some silver borders, but not too much. Her anarkali was shining but it was not looking too goady. Her hair was straight, it was reaching till her waist. She had clipped her front hair with black pins which was making her look neat, And 10 normal-shining bangles in her each hand. She had only put a skin-colour moisturiser, not making her look too fair. And eye-liner, kajal, and a red lip-stick which was not too dark. RK was amazed seeing such a unique beauty in front of him.
She kept the tray on the table carefully. RK was still looking at her dreamingly. Radha ji looked at RK and a giggled-smile came on her face after seeing RK's dreamingly expression. Well no one noticed them, they all were looking at Madhu only.
" Radha ji and Kuku ji "
Padmini ji said and broke RK's attention. Padmini raised her hand at Madhu -
" She is my elder daughter Madhubala. "
Madhu gave a smile to everyone.
" Namaste "
She said joining her hands looking at everyone, RK had first time heard her voice. then her eyes met RK.
Their eyes met. Madhu was also staring at him with a dreamingly way, they both got lost in each others eyes. It was their first eye-contact.
"..And this is my younger daughter Trishna. She is studying in 15th standard now. "
RK's eyes got on Trishna, he realised that he was so lost in Madhu that he forgot to even look at her.
Trishna also greeted everyone.
They both sat. Again - talking started. They first talked about Trishna's collage. Then -
" Madhu beta, what are your interests? Radha ji was telling me you like gardening? " Radha ji asked.
" Yes Aunty, I love gardening since I was just 15. I also like cooking and baking. And I had a interest in calligraphy-writing..."
" You HAD a interest? "
" Ya Aunty, but only for 1 or 2 months. Not more than that.."
They all nodded. In the meanwhile RK was buy-hearting all her interests in his mind.
' Gardening,
cooking,
baking,
calligraphy writing...'
RK was thinking but just then -
" Radha ji, why isn't RK saying something? He hasn't said anything since he has came. "
Shamsher said looking at RK. All eyes turned to RK. RK looked at Madhu, even her eyes were on him.
" Uh...actually "
RK was just thinking to say something but Padmini ji broke his sentence -
" Radha and Kuku ji, let RK and Madhu spend some time alone.."
Padmini said looking at RK, then Madhu.
" Oh ya! Of course! "
Radha ji said looking at Rishu.
" Madhu beta, take a walk at your garden with RK.."
Shamsher said to Madhu. Madhu looked at RK first. She stood up, RK stood up too.
" This way..."
Madhu said going to a direction.
" Yeah.."
RK followed Madhu. They both walked together.
