Vivian Dsena and Vahbbiz Dorabjee Dsena couldn't go on a honeymoon after their wedding in January because of Vivian's hectic shooting schedule. However, the actor and his wife more than made up for it by holidaying in Australia. The nine-day trip had them visiting beautiful locations like Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Tangalooma Island and the Great Ocean Road. "I loved Australia because it has a good mix of fun, adventure and relaxation. It was a welcome change from my hectic work schedule," says Vivian. Besides the fun and adventure, Vahbbiz found it to be a great shopping destination too. "Also, we both love adventure sports, nature and wildlife, which is what Australia is known for. The people there were friendly. We never had any difficulty in getting around," she adds.
Into the wild The two animal lovers were overjoyed to be at the zoo that had various animals including kangaroos, kuala bears, elephant and crocodiles. Vahbbiz says, "I was so thrilled that they allowed us to hold the kuala bears and feed them." And if that wasn't enough, they got an opportunity to feed the magnificent dolphins at Tangalooma Island.
Gold Coast Another stop on their itinerary was Gold Coast. Says Vivian, "Gold Coast has some amazing virgin beaches. I tried my hand at surfing and loved it." Vahbbiz adds, "We went to Sky Point from where we could see the entire Gold Coast." She also can't stop gushing about Dream World (a theme park) where the two enjoyed a lot of topsy-turvy rides.
Around Melbourne "The food around Australia is awesome. Since both of us are foodies we tried a lot of stuff. The seafood, fresh seawater prawns, oysters are some of the things one must try," says Vivian. Vahbbiz loved the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant, which is a three-hour journey across Melbourne. "Tourists can enjoy some great food and wine while cruising the streets of Melbourne. It's a unique experience," says Vahbbiz.
Getting adventurous Speaking about the trip, Vahbbiz says, "Our first destinations was Brisbane, which is a beautiful place. Then we went to Tangalooma Islands by boat." Vivian adds, "I loved this island because it had so much to offer for people like me who love adventure sports. We had a lovely place to stay, which was facing the sea." The duo indulged in activities like desert safari, ATV (All-terrain vehicle) bikes and dolphin-feeding. Vivian says. "We also tried our hand at sand tobogganing. It entails surfing on the sand while lying down on a surfing board, which was a mind-blowing experience. Then we rode an ATV biking. It was a thrilling experience." Vabbiz too joined her hubby in all the thrilling activities, she says, "Both of us are pretty bindaas and love the same things. We love adventurous stuff."
Driving on the Great Ocean Road The couple loved the ride that they were treated to at the Great Ocean Road. They stayed at the Chris Beacon point. But there was a more thrilling adventure awaiting them in the form of a euro copter ride at the 12 Apostles. Vivian presented Vahbbiz with a ring in the air and also took 12 wows. "It was the most romantic part of the trip," says Vahbbiz.
cOFFEE AND MORE... Their last stop was Melbourne, which Vahbbiz says is "a shopping paradise". For Vivian this place was special because of its cafe culture. "I love coffee and Melbourne has lots to offer," he says. They also spent time cycling around the city and visited Hosier Lane which is known for its street art and graffiti.
