No, I think the threatening was still needed. I wrote back then that whatever it says about Madhu, what that threatening act of RK's did was tell the audience that this is not a wedding that should be supported. RK is not one who should be supported. At that time, we still had Paddy's ominous words and warnings playing alongside Madhu's falling for RK. But later we got less of Paddy and more of Madhu's dream world.
My thing is that Madhu shouldn't have been right there. Standing right there. That's the reason I started believing that she was playing a game, till it was completely clear she wasn't. That being said, either way she was still going against her mother--so neither was a good decision: her going through with the plan, or her falling for him.
Abby since you insist 😆, i'll post it over the weekend. i want to watch the episodes if I'm going to make a topic, clean it up a bit and add some more tidbits to it---like the fact that Paddy brought balance, and then that balance was missing.
