I am saying that because she took the time and effort to address that issue in the very second performance of Jhalak and also because when u r acting day in and day out the same char, and each time you act, you have to, to a certain extent delve into your own feelings to bring about the action and reaction in acting.
If it was a scene like participating in a fight in Mars or robbery or something, that is so totally out of any normal day occurrence to us, she or we can enjoy the scene, she while acting it and we for watching it guilt free.
But, when it comes to tolerating abuse, and playing a continuous victim or catering to abusive man's desires day in and day out and throwing urself at the same abuser ( BTW, I call him abuser because an abuser is defined as someone who keeps kicking u around and then later says sorry or ILU only to come back and kick u again later; and here RK had not even been saying sorry or ILU, while kicking her and still she had to act as she still loves him for a long time; )and show and showcase the same as "true Love" may take a toll on her.
I agree after the revenge track.. RK never missed a chance to humiliate her or insult her.. and i can't defend that action at any cost.. he is at the wrong side.. and he himself admitted that on the wedding day...
and when he came to know that he loves her and can't loose her to anyone.. he tried to bring her back without asking any sorry or admitting his love and called the revenge as simple knok jhok... but again.. Madhu never shown agreeing to that instead she was protesting him in all the possible way as she can... (Ofcourse she didn't went to police... )
@red... yes She ACTED as she loves him... bcos she decided to make him realise what he did to her is wrong... but when she realise that he is changed man, she decided give a second chance to him... and its is her love only which is not fake but true...
U never know. Otherwise, why spec. Say" Vote for me if u think I am standing for what is right?" or something like that after that particular act? I liked that. It showed that she cared as to what message her show is sending and that she is not standing for it.
Even i liked that... and i agreed to that when Shahi and Chand said the same on the day after DD's performance...
After all, if it violence or abuse against women being shown, whether in reel or real, we tend to react more personally, as it might actually happen to us or someone we love in real life and r more conscious of the message we r passing, by supporting it.
About the message.. I agree they showed teh humiliations and insult and made the Heroine to stand still during those time... but still its not first time itys hapening.. Didin't Madhu stand quite when Mukku's Ayi was into bajay o mission.. and even this strong Padmini was shown as begging before Mukku's Ayi not to quit the wedding... But they also showed it as wrong later... Didn't Radhaji questioned RK for his deeds to MAdhu... Didn't Padmini question the same before everyone... and at last RK was also shown as admitting his mistakes... so in a way they admitted whatever they showed in the name of humiliation and insults was wrong... they didn't glorified any those as love... thus they conveyed the message...
But Yes RK's physco act was called as a part of love.. which is quite believable... Do you know Director Priyadharshan.. who directed movies like Bhool Bhulayya... malaamaal weekly... Garam Masala and lot more... He is married to Lissy who was an actress before... she was in love with Priyadarshan.. and when he refused to marry her.. he did a suicide attempt.. later he married her and still living happily... So RK threatening to kill himself can be called as kind of love... but still i can't defend the way he handcuffed her...
And Of course, she will say she loves her job. What else can she say? It is her bread and butter and that is what has given the fame to reach this stage.
I have seen a lot of shows and trust me compared to that Madhu is 100 times better... DD need not to be sad for what she is doing in this show... but luckly DD found an opportunity to share her view so she did... Kudos her for that.. the rest of the Heroines never get any such chance...
I won't feel any bad for DD being played this role in this show... but i will feel bad if Heoine trcak is not been given to her.. but still the show is just finished 300 epi and lot more to go..
But, that does NOT take away from the fact, that the show might be passing a wrong message, and she might not be comfortable with it, promoting abuse and worst, passing it off as true love and a girl giving up herself respect and desiring to belong to a man above all else as showing her true love and a man abusing a woman continuously and justifying it with some reason , but still calling it as true love MIGHT not be palatable to a lot of people who might have seen the kind of true repercussions that might happen to such circumstances in real life.

BUt still once this Man was shown in love I mean the True love... he was never shown as abusing her.. and thats what made her to change her revenge plan and give a chance to him... and at last CVs made him admit whatever he did to her was completely wrong and whatever she did to him was what he deserved... and they gave second chance to the Love... which was true from the both side...
