They told us his mother died on the floor of his house when he was abducted by a gang, she was looking out to her son and he was the last thing she saw as she died.

Possibly we are speculating RK and Sultan are related as in Sultan is RK's half brother through Mohan Kundra being father to both, Sultan being the older of the two, Mohan Kundra left Sultan and his mother and married Radhaji later, because he was with Radhaji when he was found hanging from the ceiling.

I think Sultan's mum is coming to him in memories, similar to how they did Mohan Kundra in RK's memories. So for Sultan it's his mum he remembers and dwells on, rather then RK who it's his father.
