Thank you for enjoying my posts and following them 😊
And in reply to one response I do read through the various posts rather than just the headline title.
And there is quite clearly a post which is implying that perhaps AR should quit and that he deserves to be in a better show or why should he go after a character who is lovesick after another.
I'm don't have anything against Sulbala/Sultan fans but and perhaps I shouldn't pick on that particular post but I only used that as an example as I saw it today and therefore it was fresh in my mind, but the point was why take it to the level that people feel an actor deserves better or has not been properly utilised etc.
The point of this post was to illustrate that every character has a part to play and in this story of M:EIEJ Sultan has played his role, there have been scenarios which have been explored and it was also mentioned to me by another member who had inside information that the creatives were exploring and testing the audience response to a possible Sultan/Madhu link but it hasn't worked as successfully as RK/Madhu hence why the story has taken that turn.
Also a parallel lead runs alongside the lead, anything parallel by definition runs along the main plot/item/object/scenerio but it is never the same as being the main focus/story. In some exceptional cases yes you tend to have situations in daily soaps whereby a parallel story, situation or actor/actress gets more of a response than the original plot or leads but I don't believe that the role of Sultan was ever going to out rightly replace RK.
I agree that his story played and or will play a further role in Madhu's life, and this remains to be seen, not forgetting that this was the same 'Sultan' that in the beginning was suspected of extortioning money out of RK when he was shot as per the suspicions of Bittu Ji.
And again I am not saying that all RK fans are noble and innocent in the spread of negativity or bashing as it's called, my issue is with the fact that why pit each fan group against the other.
And tbh the creatives have a part to play because they did blatantly tease the fans with Madhu being sandwiched between both RK and Sultan, and lets be honest from a creative pov the story was dragging and becoming stale somewhat.
The whole Aryan/Sultan (although a sweet notion) just didn't have the ipso factor that RK/Madhu revenge/marriage track had back since August.
Either way Sultan fans will see it differently and RK fans will see it differently.
I try and look at it objectively as best as I can to see how the story works and what translates better on screen and I think that a stronger Sultan with perhaps his darker shades would work better than one who is pining for a normal loved up life.
Whilst AR is good looking, I just personally didn't see the dynamic work with DD, not to say that I'm right, because many feel there was chemistry there.
And without taking anything away from AR, I at times found some of his acting slightly wooden, now this might be down to the way they wanted Sultan to come across so it might be that, but I just couldn't connect with the character like I did and have with RK, Madhu and Dipali who for me are the main protagonists of this show.
Oh and just because a show is a daily soap and people watch it day in day out doesn't mean that it should be taken literally or that it should be preaching how you should lead your life.
We have daily soaps here in the UK, not very good ones mind you but then again over here everyone knows that a daily soap is a far fetched example of reality and very melodramatic so should be taken with a pinch of salt.
My point is that M:EIEJ did not set out to teach any morals, so if people are watching then they should have enough intelligence or common sense to understand that. Secondly it is a show that is on slightly later and does deal with adult themes.
There are shows that specifically preach or lead by example such as Diya Aur Bhati, Balika Vadhu, Veera and a few others and they have a different tone to them.
M:EIEJ was never advertised as those nor did they want it to be regarded as such.
I think it is understandable why some people might get irked when people interpret the fiction and take it literally because it spoils the fun for the rest of us. If people start spreading things about a show promotion abuse etc the creatives are obviously going to think 'Shit what's going on' and hence rash decisions are made and storylines changed causing illogical tracks and character confusion.
I know that if i want to watch a show where I will get to learn something about life then I will watch the Discovery Channel or perhaps a show that teaches you that.
I'm not going to watch a show at 8.30pm/9pm after a long day at work that I know is purely for entertainment and melodrama thinking 'OMG I need to contact social services or I need help because I think I'm going to go for man who will disrespect me and abuse me'
Bit of a far fetched example but you get my point
