He had lost his parents in whatever way at age of 12. When he started drinking and addicted to it and no one was there to stop him only Madhu when he was 29. He had his step father and that too never accepted him as a son... now he use him and stardom so we can understand when he was flop what he must be like then have you seen seeing Dips RK almost drop his face God knows how much he had loved her and how badly she broken him and up to the top always hover around him to put oil and ghee on his zakham... so all this made him stuck to that 12 yr old son... he is scared...

He cut his hand and tied his biwi because he was scared... that he will lose her..

He didn't understand the complexity of destruction he did because he is drowned in his fear inside to think so much...

He bitting Madhu and blaming her not because he not trust her... he trust her but he is fear and scared that Madhu is not trusting him no because he broke her trust... he is scared... he do not fear to die... he is just scared that what if Madhu do not believe that he really love him now..

He is scared to lose his power because once he lose it he is scared that his days will be like earlier and so he says he cannot give anybody more power than him...

His life is not dark but bad and miserable...

Outisde he is strong well build popular but inside he is same 12 yr old little crying boy in corner of the room and he still not able to come over it and one knows when he will and for that he should first learn to conquet his fear and trust his fate and let free Madhu and once he do that he will see fate will bring Madhu back to him...

This is complex character and it needs to be understand with shant maan and mind.

VD is fab actor we all know how chilled out and naughty guy he is in real life to have everything as fun and rarely be serious and God have given him this talent to pull dark and grey character so well and I always end how can he? honestly i love his passionate and his over caring nature that he has for madhu i would love that quality in my prince charming

seriously i would take him away to some silent calm romantic place like Bruges(u should totally visit its like a place right out of storybook land in the winter)and say there away from everyone until all of his insecurities go away sooner or later he will learn that i love him and him only and he will start trusting me and realize everything on his own. I think that self-realization of what he has done and redemption should happen on his own without any force. i was always taught that if one does something stupid the other person should take the high road. So thats wat i would do in real life😳
