I am only seeing one reason which can be logical and which Ct's can show as well . RK always got betrayal in return whenever He loved someone . So When He started feeling for Madhu , and he started realizing Madhu's love for him as well , Then He started getting scared thinking about that Madhu too will go far from him as He loves her . So Before Madhu would have left him (According to his Fear) , He himself pushed her away from him claiming his love to be Fake and Revenge . Now when He saw Sultan with Madhu , He is again scared to loose his Biwi to someone else . So Now He wants to win Madhu's love & trust again .
I know Many of u all gonna tell that Had RK's love would have been true then he would have trusted Madhu's love as well , And wouldn't have thought that Madhu will everr leave him in future . But Guyzz Just think from RK's POV , He himself saw so much pain and got so many betrayals in his life since childhood that At that time He was scared to get one more betrayal from his loved one , And that too from his Biwi who is his Ishq & junoon . He didn't wanted to go through the same pain once again , as that would have completely broken him . And so Before he would have gotten one more betrayal , he himself pushed it away from him .
This is what I think can be the logic which Ct's can show behind RK's revenge thing and all .
