I agree in the sense that RK is morally a pretty twisted character. He makes a mockery out of everything and always thinks his pain is greater than anyone's (well used too).
But at the same time, I kinda think it fits with his character. I don't mean to defend his actions of anything, but I don't think RK was ever promised as this amazing, understanding, kind of guy. He was always shown as manipulative and rude. And I think that fits with the theme of showing a "dark love story." For me personally, Madhubala was about showing this young girls journey into the world of bollywood despite her reluctance (still waiting on this CV's!) and the bond she shared with RK, that came in the form of a twisted love story.
By all means, I don't think both of them are healthy together. But as per the theme of a dark love story, I think it fits.
And regarding Sultan, I completely agree with him at least knowing how to respect people. Honestly, it makes him better in my eyes, especially when compared with RK recently.
