A build-up episode...
There were several things that stood out to me in terms of characters
1) Sultan: I am appropriately intrigued by his reaction to Madhu. He apparently loved his wife immensely and seems to retain some sense of guilt over her death...on a Holi day (maybe a car chase due to gang war). He moved abroad after winning the war for the safety of his son and has been back only recently. I kept thinking that he sees some image of his wife in Madhu and he is attracted to her sunny attitude. However he is aware of RK's feelings for Madhu ...and the pain RK is going through (does he identify with it?). He has promised Padmini that there will be no drama in chawl due to him...a promise that he intends to stick to. While he seems to have started to open up to Madhu...the moment he realizes that he has put Madhu in danger...the past memories will come crashing back and he will withdraw. I see him take on more a role of guardian angel rather than romantic interest atleast for near future. Though he might continue to feel attracted to her.
2)RK: RK wants Madhu back in his possession...he seemed to try and reconcile Dips version of studio story to what Madhu had told him and so far everything seems to tie up. However this does not reduce his disquiet at the thought of losing her...there is immense confusion as to how she relates to Sultan.. I think he is still unable to understand how Madhu could walk away from him so easily...what he does not know is that Madhu has not moved on but rather shut herself from his memories. The pain is still festering in her. I am beginning to sense some feeling of shame and regret in him as he thought of his unwedding however I am am not convinced that his regret is for the right reasons yet. He realized that he cut her loose at his unwedding and severed any bond between them effectively giving her permission to pursue relationship with other guys. He was convinced that Madhu would never move on but she seems to have moved on thus rendering his entire gameplan kaput. He decides to go and check out the lay of the land and at the same time remind everyone and her that he still stakes his claim on her. What better way to do than go and play Holi and be the first one to put color on her? Dare I hope that the preview is real? If he does see her with Sultan and walks away...he will burn in personal hell of jealousy and regret but he will also suspect her love for him ...to me this does not add anything to the storyline. I would rather that he sees that she still loves him but is immensely attached to the kid and then finds her harmed which leaves him bereft and guilty of his past actions wanting to make up for them.
3)Madhu: I have said all I can say on her pigheadedness and air of superiority and innocence. I don't see her harbouring any feelings for Sultan other than compassion and pity. She seems to believe he can be a better person and father and has made it her next project. Her attachment to Aryan is odd but on the other hand she probably sees a lot of herself and RK in him. She sees a physically challenged kid being pushed to his limits in order to win his father's approval. She sees a child yearning for his father's love much like RK. On the other hand Aryan does take her mind off RK and she does not have to deal with her feelings for him. She still sees RK as egoist as shown by the way she keeps seeing ahankar poster...however in last episode...the "Ahankar" seems to be fractured by branches when Madhu looks at it. I have an odd feeling that she will jump in fray to either protect Aryan or RK when Bhujang lands and will get injured in the process...I am still waiting to see how she justifies her association to underworld kingpin to all and sundry.
In all we are at crossroads and I waiting to see where CVs take it next. On a different note the common reaction to precap on forum seems to be that it is a dream...wondering if there was a spoiler or sequence on SBB/SBS that led everyone to that conclusion.
