The scenes in your favorite show
were placed, designed in such a manner
that any analysis done would look like a
patch work'..Kyun Nahi Samjhe???
Those of you who have been following
Madhubala:Ek Ishq Ek Junoon would have
noticed that it's been almost 3-4
episodes now that the makers have been
drawing parallel's between Superstar RK
and Gangster Sultan''This Silsila did
start long back, but the recent episodes
have been highlighting them more often
and even more glaringly.So what are the
CV's trying to show??? Well chalo dekhte
hai'..
Since the day Sultan entered the show,
the makers have made a very conscious
effort to show how drastically different
the two men that is RK and Sultan are,
and they have done a superb job and
quite smartly.
On one side we have
Superstar RK, who had a bad childhood,
who very well knows what pain and
sufferings are yet he does not hesitate
to inflict them on anyone, and in this
case the woman who loved him the
most. While on the other side we have
Sultan who is a Don, a Gangster or in
own words"Mumbai Ka Sultan" who also
has a bad past, how do we know
simple'.Just recall his conversation with
Kaka which did give an insight that
Sultan too had a bad past but except for
shooting a bunch of goons who otherwise
would have killed him and his son'
everything Sultan did shows Humanity.
What one expects from the RK at this
juncture especially after hurting Madhu,
after breaking her heart, her trust and
literally shattering her life into pieces, is
seen coming from Sultan. While there is
no denying that RK's redemption has
started, and that too quite beautifully
one cannot help but turn a blind eye that
if he takes 1 step forward in redemption,
the next instance he takes 10
backwards''Ab yeh toh Redemption
nahi hua right??? A huge part of
redemption is "Acceptance", while RK at
a point did call Madhu Biwi, which was
like "Biwi Ho Tum Meri", only to be
corrected by Madhu "Ex-Biwi Mr. Rishabh
Kundra" lets not forget that this is the
same person who told her off and called
her "Ex-Biwi" on the day he promised her
a whole new world, a whole new life.
How can one forget that the "Biwi ho
tum Meri" came when he wanted to
know something from Madhu, get
information from her'. regarding her so
called "Aashiq" which makes it yet again
a Selfish deed.
Like mentioned above the CV's have very
smartly incorporated these scenes in the
show while we have'
RK dump Madhu in
the chawl rather unceremoniously while
a gangster and her temporary kidnapper
returns her safe and sound to her
panicking family. RK still does not
understand the gravity of his mistakes,
he does not want to know them or accept
them, and thus there is no scope for an
apology, and given a chance he would
never hesitate hurting Madhu or
insulting her again.
Sultan on the other hand is shown as
someone sensitive enough to comes up
to Madhu's home once he realizes what
his act cost her and not once does he
hesitate to seek forgiveness something
that left not only the viewers but also
Madhu in shock, well it's not expected
from a "Mighty Gangster" is it??? Not
once did he flinch, not once did he look
he was unsure of what he was doing.
In the accident sequence''Sultan
drives a Black Car and RK a white Suv,
which kind of depicts their role in the
show'Black being the Antagonist and
White the Protagonist, but what follows
makes you stare at the TV Screens in
astonishment as the so-called Villain
"Sultan" readily helps the person who
had an accident for no fault of his, gives
him a ride home and spares him, even
after learning that the man he just saved
was the one who threatened to kill his
son-Aaryan. Did this scene actually ring
a bell with a previous one???
Something
related to a one Mr. Mukund Dixit???
While Mukund 's accident was caused by
RK, who sped away than trying to help
the one who was hurt, here we see
Sultan actually define what HUMANITY
is.Though both Sultan and RK have dark
pasts Sultan seems more in touch with
his emotions, than RK who is out of
touch with it'Even though Madhu did
invoke feelings and emotions in him, he
does not have it in him to embrace it. In
our last Madhubala related article,
where our focus was on Sultan we did
mention that the strict disciplinarian
face and act he puts on is to make his
son stronger, so that the little one is
able to take care of himself should
something happen to Sultan, and him
opening up to Kaka the other day
actually opened another facet of Sultan,
a much softer side of him which he has
hidden lest it should harm his son.
T
hough a Gangster Sultan comes with a
set norm of principles and morale's, him
strictly against the use of Drugs,
refusing to give up till he made sure that
the Drugs were completely destroyed and
the poison never touched the lands of
Mumbai are a few examples showing how
righteous he is in his ways even if he is a
Gangster.RK on the other hand resorts to the
worst methods and feels nothing about
it'.While one does see him feeling hurt,
jealous of the new Man in Madhu's lives,
his questions actually leave you
surprised'.. "Kya mera pyaar itna kamzor
tha Madhubala, ya itna Kamzor tha tumhara
pyaar Jo itni aasani se aage bad gayi tum.
Kaise keh diya alvida aur mein kyun nahi
keh paa raha, kya hai jo mujhe tumse
baandhe hui hai, jo mujhe itni takleef de
rahi hai'."? These lines actually make
you wonder, aakhir RK ko problem kis
baat se hai??? That Madhu has moved on
in life??? Which means he would be
happy had he seen her suffer'.right? Hiswords do reflect his pain; yes it reflects
ONLY HIS PAIN'..What about hers??? The
endless tears or like one says "Khoon ke
aasoon" that she shed is still no where
mentioned'..He is still overlooking his
actions, that it's his "PREM GAME" that
took away everything from Madhu.
For a change is great to see Madhu
standing up in front of RK-The Supertsar
and Sultan the Don, yet keeping her
humanity, her selflessness intact''She
has always stood up for the right, what
she believes in, the moment she realized
that there was a soft exterior to the
monster face RK put up, her heart
started to beat for him, and she never
denied that feeling, but the day he broke
her she didn't feel there was a need to
keep any relationship with him ever.
There was no need to answer him, there
was not need to reprimand him and for
that matter when RK said that he had an
accident, she did not even show
concern'..Same goes for Sultan, her in
the face dialogues by going to his home,
which not everybody dares to do is done
by Madhu'.. The makers have made it a
point that Madhu is not lost in between
the two male characters and kudos to
them for keeping the 3 characters
distinctly different from each other yet
making sure they stay strong.
It's a shocking surprise that the makers
resolved to treat this path, before
making the next move'.They literally
drew a clearer picture of RK and Sultan
and how different their approach is to
life, to others. This past week there has
been very less movement in terms of
story, but we believe that it's primarily
to accommodate the contrasting
characteristics of the 2 men in the
show'.and must say that the makers did
pull of a very sleek act, one that is
totally applause worthy.
