Sultan and RK-My perspective.

I must thank theWRITERS GAUTAM HEDGE N RAGHUVIR SIR for today's episode. RK and Sultan are so alike and yet so different. Both the characters have been etched out perfectly with due importance given to their roles. One an actor and the other a don.

Yet the don knows what is right and what is not:"do not touch liquor or a lady if you cannot handle them". He is so true and he has set his priorities right,albeit it is different from our way of looking at life .But, he has the sensitivity to understand the difficulties caused to some one by his actions and does not hesitate to apologise and apology in such a crisp and straightforward manner. He did not mince words,did not flinch,did not look for excuses:just a sorry and the reason for saying so. Perfect.

RK,the super star ,still laments the loss of his true love. It is sometimes surprising to see how some people can only give importance to certain individuals once they have lost them. Only after the loss ,they understand the true value. Such people are bound to wallow in self pity and RK is in that state. A jealous and jilted lover who cannot accept that his love has moved ahead and is not sparing a thought for him. He knows the reason,but, he cannot ask for forgiveness. He is still looking for excuses and his ego comes between his realisation and his action.

Both are egoistic. Both want to rule the world they live in. Both want the lady to accept whatever they dole out to her. Yet, their treatment of the same situation(of asking forgiveness) shows the strength of their characters.

PS:- I have opened a separate thread on this,after some friends requested me to do so. I have been watching the show from past 3 months and have always liked it. The love for this has increased manifolds after the entry of Sultan. I have two men whom I can judge and compare. Both have a presence in Madhu's life and both like Madhu in their own strange ways. And that is what makes it interesting and up for debate.
