May be she knows it, but presently it's difficult for her trust to him in any case. RK on the other hand is juggling between his eg and his heart and now since their drunken stupor he will slowly start listening to heart as per Madhu..it's a long path for RK to tread to reach Madhu, whereas her family just thinks RK as one egoistic superstar loved by their daughter/sister...😳 My POV

Thank you for your comment!! I respect your opinion. Thats definitely thought provoking. But this is how I think..

Attraction is the first step of love.. And we know that RK was attracted to her initially and then his ego got the better of him after the jail/slap fiasco. He hated her immensely but gradually because of Madhu's virtues and affection, he fell in love with her. Nonetheless, he decided to go on this ego trip of avenging himself by humiliating her.

I agree that his acts have been quite distasteful and I hate him for all the hurt he inflicted on an innocent soul.

I believe he loves her, but in sync with his unique personality, his love is also of a kind. One wouldn't imagine a friend in his dreams. And on the drunken nite if they had shown any desire from his side, I would have been very disgusted. They showed his longing for her.

About respect, one thing I really hate about RK is that he doesn't know how to treat women. We can tell that by the way he treated his mother all these years. And after accepting her back he is as respectful as any good son will be.

So it's not that he doesn't respect Madhu but his definition of respect is messed up. He doesn't allow anyone else to say anything to him, which in my eyes is not respect enough. It is largely because he thinks that only his opinion carries credibility.

I am very sure that once he makes peace with his feelings for Madhu, we will notice a change in his behavior.

Agin, I do not endorse his antics but this is a feeble attempt at deciphering this intriguing character. I can be wrong, may be I am. But I would love it, if he redeems himself.

Madhu does know after remembering parts of the drunk night that RK loves her, regardless of his claims to the contrary.😳 But his refusal to admit to it while he is in his senses hems her in from admitting her feelings overtly.😳

I'd just like to add that none of them remembered the drunken confession. They seemed to remember everything BUT that. They don't even remember the hug. So yeah, go back and re-watch the episode? They um'h recalled bits and pieces of what happened afterwards but nothing from the studio itself.

But even then, she remembers that they were together smiling inside the phone booth; she remembers him smiling while tucking her in bed, remembers that they were talking like friends and then he took her to his house which means that his claim to hate her is false.

Not talking about the confession.😳 That would have amped up Madhu's confidence in this mess, but it's out of memory reach. No, I'm talking about what she did remember.
Every moment of tenderness she had seen from RK, she had let herself get convinced it was all an act, even though no one can be that good an actor 24/7.
But when he was completely out of his senses, the tenderness towards her was back, and that was evident in every bit she does remember.
She feared having revealed *her* feelings because she feared he would remember it, but Bittuji persuaded her that wasn't the case.
