Radhaji really touched me today, her expression when RK exclaimed he'd be all alone without her bought tears to my eyes. This mother-son relationship is turning out to be really beautiful and I hope that nothing ever happens to break it.
RK's night of thinking rather than drowning has definitely had an effect on his psyche. He knew exactly what to do to get his mum to stay.
A subdued RK seeking out Madhu to apologise was a delight to watch and definitely a step in the right direction for him. Madhu, quite rightly may I add, walks away from him every time he approaches her, attempting to keep a distance from him. No reason to taunt him today, eh? But he's not said his piece so Madhu, how can he leave you in peace? Even knowing what she'll say doesn't deter him.At last having cornered her he can apologise, but first she needs to face him.
'Why are you looking away Madhu? Do my eyes have an infection?'
Firstly, how should she know? And secondly, if he did have an infection, he should've stayed at home coz that shit is really unhygienic and spreads easily.
Anyway, Madhu tries to get away but he literally has her boxed. However, her last bit of determination won't allow her to look at him. The BG score was once again the heartbreaking 'Hum THE Deewane.' The words are so sad, but they convey Madhu's emotions exceptionally well.
This, the man standing in front of her, is the guy she loved whole heartedly, he was her life, her everything, her GOD. She left everything for him, even her Mum was ousted from her 'magic' mantra and replaced by him. And he punished her in the most evillest way... He left her with nothing. She is quite literally a shell of her former self. Yet here he is, standing two inches in front of her, adamant to say his piece and she is powerless to stop him.
I hated how RK was violating Madhu's personal space, he had no business being that near. But Saturday's give us Rishbala moments no matter how forced, so how can I object? (sarcasm - my inner feminist won't let me let it go). Anywho, I digress...
'Look at me'
How? How can she look at the guy who destroyed her world? How can she stand this close to him and not falter in her conviction to hate him, to not let him affect her? Because he does, he makes her weak and she CANNOT have that. Not now, not ever. She needs to remember. And she does. All that pain bought to the fore by his nearness. She cannot look at him. So much agony portrayed by the lone tear that falls from her eyes. It has him mesmerised.
He is captured by it. He forces her to face him. And witnesses her silent tears, her silent ache. It's all there in her eyes. And all he wants to do is take it away, wipe them away. But not yet. He's not ready. He needs to change. Change bought about by circumstance. To ensure that he becomes worthy of even wiping her tears. Because right now? He isn't. At all.
Bittuji interrupts and brings with him reality. Another day, another problem in Rishbala's road to happiness. God, it's never gna be smooth for them is it?
Precap: RK reverts to Right Kameena and Madhu street entertainment. Nothing more to be said.
Surplus:
Sultan has a fit. Erects a roadblock in Rishbala's journey. The note conveys something, it felt like a riddle, but I can't be bothered to decode it now, it's too late. I'll leave it to you guys. Probably foreshadows something. Also I get the feeling that Sultan and RK are familiar with each other. Maybe they were best mates as children?
Sikky: I agree with you teaching your wife a lesson, but why do you have to stoop so low? Blackmailing her to get yourself ahead? It's just sad. Stop being such a baby having your mum fight your battles, kick her out yourself man!
Dips: You still think you can get away with it, don't you? Not sure Sikky's gna let it go especially now he wants something. He's like a dog with a bone. Honestly, I don't understand why you're so afraid you'll end up in a chawl. You lived in London for a long time so you have contacts (and have lived without RK for ages so it can be done!), you have your own money and I'm sure you'll get a good settlement in the divorce. What I don't understand is how you haven't found out about the stolen money and jewels from your safe? Discover this and you're case during the divorce will be stronger.
Honorary Mention:
Mangesh: Stuck in the middle of a powerplay between mother and son, I'd have screamed out in frustration. You are obviously made of sterner stuff, hats off to you. Provided some comic relief amidst a tense situation.
RK's number plate: Bla bla bla 666!! OMG my eyes popped. He IS the devil! (sarcasm, again)
