While the cvs are all over the place with the script, they seem to be doing the right things with the characterization...well, sometimes.
I always liked the strong and silent type of man...shows him as a deep thinker for one and not someone who acts rashly. His life is stark and dark...I feel that the lighter carried some symbolism here...some spark of light seems to be entering his world...his son's gleeful laughter in the background for one, a light of hope for the audience that we'll probably see a more open Sultan in time to come.
Yes, this guy has some deep wounds and doesn't believe in applying any soothing balm to them. He doesn't mind having new ones either. Maybe those only reiterate the path he has chosen in his life..looks like a man with a mission and is in the process of completing it. Yes, it may have to do with his wife and/or loved ones. It's like he's waiting for his prey to enter and ambush him.
Madhu just happens to be a temporary and an unexpected interruption in his life who could become something more, probably against his wishes. He definitely won't act on it, considering his past experiences and also due to the fact that she's married. Even a goon has some principles, I guess...at least this one.😆
I assume AR's role is an extended cameo, much like Dipali's in RK's movie...what does sikki call it...a longeo! Will enjoy it as long as he stays.
