part 8:
martha was overwhelmed by the surprise party thrown by madhu and rk. she blessed both of them and then cut the cake.
but the real gift she got was from rishab who gave her passport and visa for her trip to her village in africa.
martha: (almost in tears) you did this for me??
rk: i read your dairy and then i realized how much you missed you family. so i went ahead and cleared all the formalities.
martha: thank you so much!!
she hugged him tightly and wept silently but they were tears of joy.
madhu stared at both of them. she couldn't believe that anyone can do so much for others without any selfish motive.
next day they packed her suitcase and martha was off to meet her one family though she was going away from other.
for next two weeks madhu and rk realised how much they missed martha.
then one night rk was writing his letter to madhu. it was now his habit to write one daily but he never told her about this.
suddenly his phone beeped and he received a message .
meet me at terrace ;)
he went to terrace and saw a girl standing with her back towards him.
rk: excuse me??
but before he could touch her, she turned around .
rk: ever ??!!
ever: glad you remember me.
rk: how could i forget?
ever:i came here to remind you that you only have less than one month left.
rk: i am trying my best.
ever: and you even found one. madhu.
rk: she is beautiful.
ever:(smirks) funny, is this the same girl whose existence you refused to acknowledge.
rk: she is and she has changed me. now i realise how stupid i had been. and to me she is the most beautiful girl.
ever: but sadly she doesn't thinks same about you. why don't you kiss her? after all that's what you need to break the curse.
rk: i won't!! i will never do anything against her wish even if it means staying like this forever.
ever: as you wish. goodbye.
and then she vanished into thin air.
martha came back next week but rishab was lost in his own . he was busy thinking about what ever had said.
then one day madhu came running to his room. her eyes were red from crying.
rk: madhu are you okay??
she hugged him and broke down. he patted her back and tried to comfort her.then he cupped her face between his hands and stared into her eyes.
rk: what happened madhu??
madhu:(sobs) papa!! papa has met with an accident. he...he is critical.i need to go!!
rk felt thunderstruck. she wanted to go!! then with a great effort he spoke.
rk: i think you should go!!
madhu didn't said anything and just hugged him more tightly.
next day madhu was all set to go though she didn't wanted to leave them. she didn't knew after how much time she would be back or not.
martha was feeling sad but for rishab. she even asked him to confess his feelings but he decided against it.
when madhu stepped out of the house she turned back but he was nowhere to be seen. guess he didn't wanted to show his fragile side to her.
when madhu was about to sit in the taxi she saw oscar coming towards her. he had a rolled bundle in his hand. he placed it in front of her and started wagging his tail. madhu patted him and picked up the roll.
while an hour later rk was searching for something.
rk: martha!! my letter are missing.
martha: the one you wrote to madhu??
rk: yes, do you know where thay are?
martha: in the hands to the person they belong to.
rk: what??
martha: oscar gave them to madhu.
rk: no!! damn it!!
martha: (softly places her hand on his shoulder) why did you let her go rishab?
rk: because sometime its good to let go .
martha: and do you know, if you let go of someone and if they come back then it is called true love?
rk: no!! it's called a boomerang !! did you get that??
and he storms off to his room.
when madhu reached her home she found that her father was recovering slowly . she had also read all the letters and called rk to confront him but he somehow avoided her always.
for two weeks she called him daily and he didn't replied to any of her call or message. he didn't knew how to face her.
finally madhu decided that it was enough and she decided to come back but without telling rishab.
rk was sitting in his couch when he received a phone call.
rk: hello?
all he could hear was muffled voices of a girl. maybe she was screaming.
rk: who is this??
caller: myself BSC aka balraj singh chaudhry!!
rk was startled at his name. he suddenly remembered what madhu had told him about this man.
rk:(yells) where is madhu ??
balraj: bahut intelligent ho!!
rk: (roars) shut up !!
balraj: let's cut the crap!! my sweet lil madhubala is safe but only for sometime.
rk: dare you even touch her!! stay away from her!!
balraj: don't be so angry young man!! i am very kameena person. all i want is 5 crore rupees and she will be free.
rk: i will give you whatever you want but just stay away from her you filthy !!
balraj: a van will be waiting for you outside your house sharp 7 in evening.
then he cut the call and turned towards madhu whose hands were tied and mouth was gagged.
he roughly pulled her by hairs and madhu winced in pain.
balraj: your lover boy is on the way!! (laughs) be ready to die together!!
madhu tried to scream but couldn't. she wanted to stop rk but knew she was too late.
rk saw a van standing in front of the mansion and he quietly stepped into it.
rk: (to driver) where is madhu??
driver turned back and replied : we are on our way.
rk: ever?!! you kidnapped madhu??
ever: shut up idiot!! i am here to save her. she was also my best friend, remember??
rk nodded silently.
ever: keep this gun with you. look behind you. two police vans are following us!!
rk: why do we need police?? you are a witch!! you can alone handle them.
ever: yes but after that i will have to give explanation to many . and besides somethings are meant to happen in their own way.and trust me, you will thank me later that i didn't helped you with magic.
rk: but where are balraj's goon??
ever: well i didn't said that i had to give explanations if there were two goons only. so i used a little witchcraft.
it was half an hour past seven and rk still hadn't reached there.
balraj: looks like your lover boy has found a new item!!
he pulls madhu by hair and unties her hands . she quickly removes her mouth tape.
balraj: i am sorry dear but i guess it's too late.(he points his gun at madhu)
WAIT!!
and there stood rk!!
balraj: (to madhu) i never knew that your choice was so pathetic!! just look at him!!
madhu: (yells) he is the most beautiful man i have ever met!!
balraj: now i realise why they say that love is blind!! can't you see???
madhu: not everyone goes for looks balraj chaudhry!! but why am i saying all this to you?? how can one expect to understand feelings from a person like you??
balraj: (roars) enough!! now let's get to the point!!
((to rk) you got the money!! great dear!! and now time to say goodbye.
and he points his gun at madhu.
balraj: as-ta la vista !!
BANG!!
madhu has closed her eyes and braced herself for death. soon she would be with her mother. but nothing like this happened. instead the man who was going to murder her minutes back fell with a thud in front of her.
madhu was literally shaking with fear. she slowly raised her face and saw rk standing in front of her with his gun pointed towards the dead man on floor.
by then police had arrived. rk dropped his gun and knelt on his knees.
madhu slowly went towards him and bent down to his level.
she could see that he was sobbing.
she slowly stretched her hand and touched his face.
madhu: rk!!
rk: (whispered) i thought i lost you!!
madhu: you did.
rk instantly looked at her.
madhu: you did. you loved me!! then why didn't you confessed it?
rk: i...i am not worth you.
madhu: ya!! you are right!! you are not worth me. cause i love a man who is my best friend. one who understands and cares for other. one who write letter to me!!the one who...
and then rk suddenly embraced her in tight crushing hug as if he would never let her go.
rk: i love you madhu .
madhu looked up at him .she reduced the distance between them by pulling him by his collar and lightly touched her lips on his lips. rk was getting engulfed by her and he slowly responded to her kiss. it was a kiss of love which was passionately blanketing the two lovers. finally they broke the kiss and madhu slowly opened her eyes.
but she was shocked when she opened her eyes and jerrked him off.
rk: madhu??
madhu: RK??
rk: what are you...
madhu: oh god!! i thought it was...it was rishab!! how could i kiss you??
rk: what are you saying??
madhu: i need to find him.
saying this she started searching rishab.
just than rk realised that his hand was like it used to be before. he quickly ran his hand over his face and found it cuts,marks and burn free. he seemed to have forgotten his original form.
THE CURSE WAS BROKEN!!
the true love's kiss has freed him from his curse.
and then he ran towards madhu who was still looking frantically for rk.
rk: madhu!!
he held her hand to stop her.
madhu: i am sorry rk about that kiss but i love someone else!! believe me he was here seconds earlier.
rk: listen to me madhu.
but madhu was not paying any attention to him. so he pulled her towards him causing her to collide against him and then he slowly wrapped his strong arms around her.
he knew he had effect on her and she suddenly stopped resisting.
rk: (whispering in dangerously passionate tone) now close your eyes.
she slowly closed her eyes.
rk: do you remember this voice?? it was me madhu. that night ever cursed me. she is a witch. she gave me six months to find someone who could really love me irrespective of my good looks.
and then i found you. it turned my whole life upset down. i fell in love you the minute you refused to leave me alone fighting with goons. you are the best thing that's ever been mine.
i wrote those letter to you but didn't gave because i was afraid of myself. i thought that you deserved someone much better than me. do you believe me??
madhu somehow knew that he was saying the truth and silently nodded her head.
rk lowered his lips to catch her . at first madhu stood numb but slowly she responded and he knew that the battle was won.
finally, they were on their way to home, their home. madhu was still in shock. she had never imaged that the hottest boy of the college would love her so much. whereas rk was way too happy because today he had found the true meaning of love.
suddenly his phone beeped and it was ever on other end.
rk: thank you so much!!
ever: cut it man!!
rk : you were right . i had to do this all myself.
ever: congrats!!
and then she cut the phone.
rk turned towards his left and saw madhu sobbing.
rk: madhu, what happened??
madhu: i forgot to tell you!! paps has fixed my marriage!!
rk: with whom??
madhu: with tina's murderer, mohan uncle's son !!
rk smiled.
rk: great!!
madhu: what??
rk: you get married to him madhu.
madhu: are you out of your mind?? why would i marry tina's murderer?? you are my boyfriend and you should be giving me the ideas to elope!!
rk: but why would i when i am the groom?
madhu looked at him with a big question mark on her face.
rk: i forgot to tell you rk is for rishab kundra!!
madhu stared at him with her mouth open.
rk: what??
madhu: i hate you.
she playfully hit him but he pulled her in a hug.
rk: but i love you!! forever and ever!!
madhu and rishab went to college prom together. dipali was highly furious when she saw them together. she thought that he might had banged his head. and to add to her jealousy rk and madhu were announced as prom king and queen where he proposed her in front of whole city. madhu was beet red but her joy doubled on seeing dipali's reaction. rk slipped a heavy solitaire in her finger in front of all and then the two went to private date.
