Disclaimer: Its a long ramble.
Is there even a single character in MBverse, in their senses who know what they want out of their life?
There is our self-righteous heroine Madhubala Shamsher Malik, who is a chronic case of Stockholm syndrome, always finding new ways to hang around her captor. She won the three day challenge. She showed her ex-husband his right place by rubbing reality into his face. Didn't she quit her job and wander into the jungle in her pensive mode, wherein she heroically saves a kid from goons, only to find out that all of this was a trap by the kid's father(the deadly gangster: Sultan) for his gang war? Fearless to the extent of stupidity that she is, she makes herself comfortable in the DON's house, blinding herself to the potential danger of being around a lunatic father who uses his son as bait, and develops a bond with the kid. If that is not enough, we have her lecturing the DON on his parenting.
Why is she back on sets RKs sets? Oh right! We now have this game of indifference between the two.
There is the typical TRP mother Padmini, who, conveniently fails to knock sense into her daughter's brain. Madhu is hiding things, running away from her family, retreating into her own self, by emotionally closing herself. But, how can a mother in Padmini not sense this? She really thinks Madhu is being normal? How can she fail to see that Madhu is withdrawing herself from this world, evading all their questions. Is it so difficult for her to see that her daughter is not at all moving on and just burying everything deep inside her and that it will be impossible to move on, until she breaks free from the crazy whim of lurking around RK? I am sorry, but Padmini's reactions since this revenge fiasco are beyond my comprehension. She needs to get a whip, to free her daughter from this RK mania.
There is the heroine's elder sister, Trishna, who seems to have grown so much brain overnight, that viewers find it almost difficult to handle. One day, she questions her sister, in all possible ways, to ensure that her relationship with her ex-husband is never going to be revived under any circumstances. And then there is today, where she is the one who divulges his efforts to locate her and his turmoil while she was missing, as if almost hoping to see some positive reaction from her sister.
There is our so called HERO/PROTAGONIST, RK: The Superstar, who can degrade himself to any levels in front of his mother and his assistant, to cover up his vulnerable side. He comes up with some pathetic C/D whatever grade dialogues to justify his concern and hysteria for his missing wife. Oh! He even dreams about her, leaving him for another man, while the man seems to be haunting him with his eyes. (RK knows those eyes for sure). If that is not enough, the scary element is added to his dream, with him foreseeing the man throwing a dagger at him. A sure shot foreboding for the upcoming track. The dream leaves him terrified for the thought of losing her to another man, and guess who he seeks solace in? His ex-flame come SIL come his film's heroine/vamp Dips Sikki Bhatia. The scene has left a permanent distaste in my mouth.
To our mercy, we have Sikky Bhatia witness this scene. Sikky, I have never loved you more. Please, throw your wife out of your life, before we are tortured by the bCVs to see a track reviving RK-Dips relationship.
Now comes the most confounding scene. How is it possible for this man to be so indifferent and obnoxious around the woman, who makes him lose his senses, gives him spine-chilling premonitions and makes him naked in front of his ex-flame (whom he loathes to the core)? I mean, is it even doable in reality? How many people can pull off that kind of an act? Why do you have show this contrast CVs? What cue are you trying to give to the viewers? And what kind of an ego is this, that fails him to listen even to his brain, making him appear less humane with each passing day? Once a shrewd and intelligent character, has now been reduced to a weak and vulnerable man.
Why does he feel so agitated when Madhu discredits his concern for her, or tries to distance him when he touches her? What kind of a control freak trait is this, to always keep her under his check, even after having crushed her heart into pieces? Open your eyes Rishabh Kundra. You aren't in your rights to exercise your control over her anymore. Hence, you better keep burning in the fire that you lit for her, and which now its engulfing you, until you man up and admit your misdeeds.
Sikki and Radhaji were the only characters who came across bearable today. I feel for both of them. Today, I don't even feel for Madhu.
Sultan, is a man on mission. Looks like he is going to rope in Madhu for his son, at gunpoint, in broad daylight, in front of her husband. What more do we need to conclude that Madhu is his bait to reach RK? RK recognizes those eyes for sure, coz they are haunting him since he peeped into them through that car window. But looks like, we have a jealousy/insecurity track coming up. I don' think anything is actually going to happen between Sultan and Madhu. It will only be conjuring up in RKs head and push him more towards destruction. Realization doesn't look in near picture.
RKs dream today, could be a foreboding or just a trap for the viewers, for CVs to throw a googly of an entirely different track. After all, they have always maintained mystery about future tracks and have executed all the plots like a thriller.
My complains with the plot execution:
After his scary dream today, RK was terrified and whimpering like a small kid, wallowing in his pain, who of all the people puts down his defenses in front of Deepali. My question to CVs, why Deepali? Why did we not have Bittuji or Radhaji witness this scene? This would have at least started the journey for his realization. Haven't you done enough damage to RKs character already? You say that the redemption has already started, and that if we can'e see it, you have failed. So far, yes indeed you have failed. You are painting him darker with each passing episode. Where do I see the light for his resurrection? How long is he going to be in denial, coming across as an insane man? Once a strong, shrewd and intelligent character, has now been reduced to a weak and vulnerable man.
If you want to show such scenes between RK and Deepali, why would I even care to watch the show? I would much rather have Madhu move on with another man, instead of rooting for RK and Madhu reunion. And Rishbala and RK induced drama being my reason for watching the show, I would give a damn to continue watching such UGLY drama created by RK.
Now, one request to CVs. It is high time that you actually show a love realization/acceptance track for RK. I do not care if Rishbala unite sooner or later. But it his high time, that RK realizes his mistakes, his loss, the enormity of hurt inflicted by him on Madhu and at least starts resurrecting himself to be a better man. I do not care much what track you have planned between RK-Sultan(though I am looking forward to it). But, this perplexing plot line which has no coherence whatsoever, is making me lose my interest in RKs character., and consequently this show. It is high time you actually bring back your so called PROTAGONIST of the show in white light, and show him as an actual PROTAGONIST. As a viewer, how long can I continue watching a show, where I get to see nothing but a despicable and vulnerable hero? What would be my motivation to tune into your show everyday?
P.S: I have written this post with completely unbiased POV towards both the leads. I have pointed out both their flaws equally. This is just an attempt from my side to shed lights on their confounding behavior and vent out my frustration. Do not bash me or make my post a war zone by taking sides for lead characters. I would appreciate if you express your POV from neutral grounds.
