While devising his elaborate revenge plan, RK did not of course, factor in the possibility that he will end up loving Madhu. As a second issue, he's also not factored in the treatment Madhu will endure from society as his cast-off. He thinks she goes home and cosily snuggles to mommy and is safe. How will he react when he finds out what she's going through? How will it touch his conscience? I am very interested in that.

There are so many things I want to see RK's and Madhu's reaction to.. And yet we never get to see it properly, because even when they show it there is, usually, no voicing out of thoughts so there is no way to be sure of what is happening. Just some shocked/pleased expression and then the character will take some action.

pnars, i guess they are dealing with this issue ...one of the reasons behind Madhu working on his set is to make him face this humiliation everyday that his ex-wife is and was a mamooli ladki and he had to fall so low to take revenge from her...during their confrontation in the vanity, when Madhu first came to his set, she reminded him that when a superstar drags a mamooli ladki to his vanity like this, is mein badnaami (she said..haar) usi ki hogi...yet, therez not much clarity wrt RK's views..most of the time he's ignoring ...they r not dealing with it properly bec. then RK has to REACT n they r not making him do it ..the moment he shows concern for her, all of us start drawing conclusions..

That is one of the main reasons I haunt this thread - the superb extrapolations and analyses here give me the extended version of the thinking behind the show. It is evident that a lot of thought goes in to every scene and dialogue, and it is up to us to read the tea leaves and interpret it. I love it this way, versus the over-the-top and in-your-face detailing and simplicity we have to endure in many masala movies and serials.

Still, I get what you're saying - that there are plenty of loose ends that deserve a proper closure (here I am harping on my favourite word again! 😳). I've been pleasantly surprised by MEIEJ so far - they've been pretty good at closing out some things at random times (remember the earrings in Karva Chauth?) Let's hope they continue to do so!

Yes, great observation...so far, she's had to suffer covert badnaami and he's been around (and so has Bittuji), a sort of invisible shield. When it becomes overt the first time, he's not around. What a pity!

@bold - as for drawing conclusions, we are the experts at it, are we not? 😉

honestly i think people are blaming rk for what happened to madhu today baselessly . this is nowehre his fault at all. because rk's humiliation of madhu was not the reason that letch leched her , it was a god damn excuse in putting his perverseness in action which he would even do..the eye raping and the pushing even if she were married to rk..so cornering rk for madhu facing this is absolutely wrong , cause rk is vindictive but he is not a monster. such men like that artist today are sick monsters.

even if madhu was married to rk and rk would not have been there today with her , that creep would still fulfill his sick intentions. these people do not even need excuses. 🤢

This seems to signify the whole idea of Madhu moving away from that shadow known as RK. We are seeing it happening to Rishabh, and now to Madhu.

Now why show this particular scene? It very much reflects society. Even in today's age a woman who is single, or has been separated from her spouse is seen as being fragile, or for the lack of a better word, an easy victim. This sick mentality is still present where the woman is targeted for a failed relationship though the man is mostly responsible for the situation.
Furthermore, workplace harassment is also something that working women are subjected to as well.

superb post supercool 👏👏👏

i'd say that Madhu was not targeted bec. she's somebody's ex, it's got to do with the mentality of men who believe that women are nothing but a piece of flesh 🤢 and it's got to do with the sick thinking of this society who believe that a woman is safe ONLY in the shadow of a man..be it her father or brother or husband or son...the law makers are the law breakers here...the problem is universal, it's not about Madhu only...why blame one RK ?

I agree with you. It is one of the things I like too. But seeing a confirmation or rejection of my understanding of some particular parts would be nice once in a while. The way they showed it in the drunken talks of Madhu and RK for example.
