depending on where you live (culture) this can backfire or work out for the best. tell him directly how you feel. what is the worst that can happen? he will say no. that is not any different from not asking at all.

coming to the culture part, some dudes like to brag about these things like you are a conquest, if that is the case, stay miles away.
