The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference.
It's the way her eyes meet his, across a room full of hundreds, and his heart stops but her eyes look past him to something else. It's the way her fingers in his hair are a rudimentary task but set his scalp on fire. It's the way she walks, alert and senses on high drive, but completely and utterly unaware of him.
It's the way she looks at him like he is nothing more than another man that she has to dress up for the camera.
And it's the way that all these things, little and inconsequential, send him into a fury that would rival even the best of his favourite villains.
Madhu is not the girl who loves him anymore. She does not flinch from his relentless humiliation of her and she does not burn from his touch. Instead his humiliation of her only provokes a shake of her head, as if he was a four year old bent on destruction. His touch only earns him a shouting match that has no passion, because in truth she feels none.
She doesn't hate him.
And by god he wishes that she would.
He wants to make her scream at the top of her lungs; he wants her to strike him with everything she has. Rishabh knows it's madness, like an addiction he cannot quit he puts himself in front of her time and time again.
For what exactly, he doesn't understand. All he knows is the drive to push her to the brink of her toleration, all he understands is the storm in her eyes that he misses, and all he wants is the relentless pursuit of a woman who no longer wants anything to do with him.
Rishabh's one fault is that he mistakes the pinnacle of her life to be him. When in truth he is only an obstacle she must overcome.
He is nothing to her, and so he pushes himself to be her anything.
(Madhu will laugh in the near future at this man's madness because she is not a girl to be pushed around, but a woman her entire country will break their backs for. And what is a mad man to a powerful woman, nothing but the dust and ashes of a life she keeps as a reminder to never give her heart to anyone again)

Totally new to this forum but pretty much watching this show from the beginning. Here's the thing. I think this track is FANTASTIC. Yeah I had my doubts and I thought 'wow here we go again this shit is going to make me quit this show', BUT the way the creatives are handling this is pretty much how I wanted it to be. RK is a grade A ass**** and I LOVE that he has no reason but just his own pride and ego for this revenge. That's what I LOVE about this show, that it is so character driven. SO basically this drabble or what have you, is what I want to see in the future. I know everyone is super excited for this love-hate track but I think what fuels RK's fire IS Madhu's hate. But if we take that away, if Madhu stumbles but catches herself and realizes she no longer needs to be affected by this man who has pretty much RUINED HER, then what does Rishabh have left? Nothing. He has nothing left because he can no longer elicit from Madhu the reaction he so desperately craves, which is her FIGHT. And how does he get that fight? From her hate. But her indifference is a slow poison to his veins. Don't you understand? He gets off on her passion but if she has none to offer him he will lose every bit of sanity he has left. And his junoon will be the pursuit of her, to make her break under his gaze and his touch and his humiliation. He will chase and chase and chase and she will only rise and rise and rise. His ULTIMATE retribution will be a futile pursuit of her and then her inevitable success. That's what I want to see, and to have that unfold will take a very long time and I am all here for the ride folks.
PS Hope you guys enjoyed this as much as I loved writing it!
PPS I would really like to hear your guys' thoughts on this track in regards to what I said in my above paragraph, it's awesome to hear other people's opinions(:
Cheers!
