So, I haven't made a post or commented on anything in a really long time because, honestly, I just don't have the time. Moreover, I barely have time to watch the show and have missed many episodes over the past few months due to this, which is a very upsetting fact. Today, however, I wanted to make this post to discuss the ongoing plot of the show. I'm not going to lie, I've missed quite a few episodes of this sequence, but I do keep up with the forum and the summaries of the episodes. Anyways, getting back to the point. I can say that I am one of those fans who relished the romance between RishBala. Whenever they had even a remotely cute moment, I ate it up and kept coming back for more. I played the scene, replayed it, and replayed it again. I found myself gleefully laughing at Deepali's expense whenever Madhu or RK dished it out to her. I found myself slowly starting to move past the fact that Bittu ji is just another annoying character and started to really enjoy his support for Madhu. Furthermore, I found the sequences where RK helped Madhu's family find happiness and Madhu did the same for RK and his mom to be very endearing. But, I did wonder sometimes. How in the world is it possible that this RK, the same one who threw the mangalsutra on Madhu, refused to complete the 7 pheres since she had to walk in front of him in 3, and greeted her entry into the house with a black tikka, fell so hard for her? And, I'm not saying I was entirely skeptical either. I completely lost myself in their romance. But, now that I know about his motives (or at least, his motives as of yet), I find myself wondering, were there signs? How did I not see this? And, the only answer that I can come up with is... this show is just THAT good. The writers are fantastic! Again, I want to reiterate my earlier point, I wasn't going to make a post... but, something that I have noticed on the forum and the TRP charts lately has kind of confused me. Do you guys not wonder, if they hadn't thrown this mind-blowing twist in, where exactly would this story have gone? I feel like it would have taken the same road as Ek Hazarron Mein (for those of you who watch...you know what I am talking about). That show had a major track to cover wherein Maanvi had Leukemia. Once that track was covered and done with, the show went downhill. The TRPs plummeted and, mind you, the show used to be one of the most popular on the charts! And, that's precisely what I'm suggesting here... I know that this track isn't the most healthy one for our romance-fogged minds to watch (Oh, our poor Madhu!). We were starstruck in watching our Madhu be treated like a complete princess by the man of her dreams (hell, the man of our dreams even!). But, the point is, the romance would only have taken them so far. The show would have become stagnant like every other show that has done consistently well before this. I can only thank the writers for introducing this crazy twist into the story rather than a typical one that follows any other Saas-bahu serial on Indian television. Trust me, I hope just as much as the next person that RK realizes his mistake and his love for Madhu hits him in the chest like a 200 ton train, but I think this twist is refreshing. I'm glad it didn't follow the same old formula and, for this reason only, I'm willing to give it a chance. When it comes down to it, I hope Madhu has RK grovelling for her forgiveness on his knees, and I hope he has to fight hard to earn her trust back. But, for now, I will watch with the hope that our Madhu comes out stronger from this experience than before, and RK realizes what an idiot he has truly been and how much it hurts to have THIS love taken away from him. So, to finish this incredibly long post off, I hope you guys will also appreciate this twist for what it is rather than hate it or criticize it for diverging from the earlier track. Just give it a chance because, you never know, the result could be better than the heartache in the middle.
Let me know what you guys think!
