Yesterday was Valentine's Day and the start of the new revolution..One Billion Rising...to stand up for the dignity of women and girls. And I am so happy that in MBEIEJ, the Creatives are portraying strong, brave and resilient women who will not put up with mental/ physical torture...especially around V-Day, where every other serial goes the mushy way.

Madhu...Even with her heartbreak and the words of RK reverberating in her head, she has bravely decided to move on. This takes a lot of courage and inner-resolve. Bravo to you!

Radhaji...Instead of being a typical Mum, who turns a blind eye, she confronted Rishabh and refuted all his lies. As a woman, as a human being, she sided with the truth and my salute to her. It speaks volumes about her integrity. She stood up for another woman. If women of the world unite, then nothing can stop them!

Padmini...hats-off to her for protecting her unborn female child, running away from a violent marriage, raising her daughters to believe in themselves and ultimately, discarding her past for a future with a good man...all of these are so difficult to achieve in our society. She went and fought like a lioness with RK when he hurt her child. And atypically, did not ask her daughter to return to her marital home, for the sake of saving face! And who can forget, she shot her husband to protect so many values.

Roma...a free soul who is true to herself and is not worried about what people might say and " how a woman must behave". She gave her whole-hearted support to her brother's feelings for Padmini...a married mother of two...now if that isn't fantastic, then I don't know what is.

I am so proud to be be a fan of a serial which has created and nurtured such strong, brave women who have the guts to follow their heart and do it with integrity and against all odds.

Keep it up MBEIEJ...hope some of your lessons and messages are being absorbed by both women and men watching the serial..so that the pink revolution of One Billion Rising can turn into reality.
