He knows she loves him to death as been proven time and time again. Why this elaborate revenge plot?

I'm going by the metromasti article that said this is for pushing Madhu into stardom however my question remains what will he gain by that and who is he to decide her fate?

It doesn't matter if ST had the very best trick up his sleeve Madhu will be scarred for life. Her blind trust in RK will be gone. Even if they get back together God knows when he'll turn the table on her. I really hope she doesn't become like one of those infamous PH heroine who behave as if nothing happened and forgives him easily.

ETA: And if it is for her own good I really wouldn't want MB to go back to him. I really would never want to live with such a twisted man who does not share his thoughts instead resorts to all this nonsensical drama.

Very Nice Post

Honestly, I don't understand why RK wants to force Madhu into the acting field...if some of the speculations are correct.

If you love someone, why make her do something she hates doing? Besides, there are already three actors in the family...Dips and Sicky included.😆

If this filmdom thing is true, then, all I can visualize is that RK wishes the ultimate humiliation on Madhu...which more or less tells be he's out for revenge.

Otherwise, I don't see the point in making her a heroine...does he need the money? No.
Does he need the recognition through her? No.

Is his career in the doldrums? No.

As for the continued public humiliation, I guess, that's the only way he knows how to go about it.😕 Hateful and disgusting, undoubtedly.

From day 1, he's made his panga public...he seems to have some megalomania as well...he has to be the first actor who decides the ending his movie...not the director or the script-writer...I wonder if he said it for effect or actually meant it.

He doesn't care for his own reputation and seems very self -destructive...I would prefer that this is pure revenge and nothing else...that would make sense to me considering that it would be within character as his issues with trust and betrayal cannot disappear overnight...his emotional age is still that of a 12 yr old...I'm not advocating it...but to me this makes sense more than a noble, self -sacrificing RK whose motives to make a loving wife hate him to kingdom come which would seem ludicrous to say the least.

Besides, usually, story tellers in Indian TV or movies are not a very creative or original lot. When push comes to shove, they tend to behave like lemmings and follow a standard set by others before them.

In other words, I'd prefer to see vengeance as a motive rather than sacrifice of some sort...it'll save the face of the writers specially if they can't come up with something logical and credible.

@pippa -

Reg writing his own edning - I was like really? Even the writer doesn't know? I actually laughed even in that most intense situation. Like you said he's suffering from megalomania.

Reg dark hero - Yes I for one would at least buy into the revenge drama and curse myself for falling in love with RK.

But CV's please spare me the mahaan, sacrificial hero doing all this nonsensical drama only for the heroine's good. At least respect us a little.

The evil can also be defended and that is how it works both in real and fictional world. Some defend and some bash. We all have our perceptions of right and wrong and everything is judged based on that.

In Saturday's episode, the writing for me worked and the lines made me feel for both -- Madhubala and R.K. At no point, I saw him as a Dark hero or a monster seeking revenge (my perception may be completely wrong and writers indeed want to make it a revenge drama). But the promo just spoiled that writing of Saturday based on what I perceive is wrong. I hate public humiliation scenes.

In most of the shows, it's a circle of public humiliation, insults, tears, silent woman taking it all and then she proves a point and then the circle is again repeated. I crib about those shows and when the same thing starts happening in the show I watch, I feel stupid.

About the story-line: Revenge does not fit at all and any reason should not lead to making mockery of what they had shown till last week.

The only positive thing if i can expect is from the dialogue MADHU SAID ONCE -" Inka kisi ko dilasa dena ka alag hi andaz hai ek ghav ke paas doosra bada sa ghav bana do ( His way of dealing with wound is different he wants to make a big wound near the exciting one you stop feeling the existing one) " . May be a reason behind this .
But i still feel he did take things too far he wound her soul which once he said during SM time that He wants to protect her from Wound on her soul , He protect her from BC , He can't leave her like he said you r not my wife how come during Padmini's trial everyone greeted as RK's, wife you have to go for the whole legal way to divorce your wife " .

@flower:

In my opinion, making it a revenge track would at least be consistent with the characterization. That way, the sudden u-turn in him could be explained away.

I'd like to see a reborn RK who no longer lives in a vacuum that he entered when he was 12...I want to see him learn to fight his way out of the prevailing nothingness in his life without outside compulsions like Madhu's unwavering love for him. I want him to undergo a metamorphosis for his own sake and because he wants to and not because he has to...like the love of a good woman changing him etc.
