Do you think that the track was done over again after the general furor? There were just too many filler episodes this week. The only reason we saw them with so much focus was due to the general foreboding that seem to surround the show at this point and us wanting to look for clues.

If RK does ditch Madhu, she is not going back to chawl...that is for sure.

Idealy I would have expected the marraige to go through, the couple landing at RK's childhood home and finding some clue to his dad's death implicating someone near and dear which brings back all the insecurities of old RK.

BTW where is the rocking chair? I can understand RK not taking anything with him but I can't see him leaving the rocking chair behind.

Like in Northern part of India, we have 'Karvachauth' to fast and pray for your husband's well being and long life, in Marathi culture(and I beleive in Kannda and Gujrat as well.Not sure), we have 'Haritalika' and 'Vata pournima' where wives pray for husband's long life.
These are couple of occasions where I have seen my mother and aunts seeking blessings from their husband by touching their feet. I was very neutral then to this act. But as I grew up, somehow, I could not bring myself to admire this gesture. I could not support it.
But I don't know why, today, I was so overwhelmed by Madhu's act. 😭I still can't understand why this happened to me. She is so selflessly submitting herself to him. 😭 The way she said, 'Mere liye ye mazak nahi hai'. I got very emotional during that scene.

exactly ! and he can NEVER EVER play with her feelings like this...this is no mazak ..if he has any hidden motive, he or the writer should have found out a better way..ya phir heroine's tears and her pain is directly proportional to the TRP's so 🤢😡

You know, VD's done such an amazing job. Throughout whenever she was'nt looking at him, he had an expression of tenderness and knowledge of loss on his face. Knowledge of loss does'nt even sound correct, but i cannot find any other way to describe his look.
Did anybody else feel the same way?

I had a similar feeling. When she was stepping ahead of him to start the pheras, the look he was giving her, the way he was scrutinizing her, I saw a sense of loss and resignation in his eyes and expressions. An expression that conveyed, that whatever is coming, is going to shatter both of them. It was very odd. But this is what I could draw out of that scene. Dunno what is going to happen. 😕

I so agree with you.
ST is sitting there jobless, replying to each and every tweet.😲 I have never heard of a producer doing that before.

Ananya and all,

I too was like why Madhu is touching his feet. Today I was asking her not to...but then I sighed. You know why ? Because Madhu was backed up by her mother's thoughts about RK. She kind of put all that into Madhu...so Madhu is like if Maa believes him that much, whom I am not to.

Love is surrender. That's why women are able to do it. I was educated by my (female) cousins later that it all becomes easy later in doing all that because, the man and woman share a relationship in bedroom where sometimes the man kisses the woman's feet and sometimes requests or pleads to her through touching her feet. And that's another reason why woman adorn their feet with anklets, alta etc so beautifully from ancient times. The feet are always adorned. I was also told, until a man shows himself ready to adore the woman in that manner of submitting himself to her, the woman is also not ready to surrender. This I am telling of not City bred women. This I am telling of women of India, rural part of India...where the way of life is not dictated by just orders and customs, but by also practicality.

Coming to RK and Madhu

At Karwachouth time RK did not allow Madhu to touch the feet.
Today also he said not to, and yet when she did, he accepted her surrender. This I know for sure that RK allowed it to happen, because he did want Madhu to trust in him this time, as he knows its going to be good for her only. I know RK, he has led Madhu to trust him only to the extent he wanted her to surrender to him. He never wanted her to bow down to him to satisfy his ego. So today, if he allowed her that means he was ready in his mind and was preparing her life ahead of her and that she could trust him.

This I am 100% sure. I have always observed RK, how much he respects Madhu, inspite of being intimidating to her and trying to be the egoist man.

all his past tweets were quite sporadic. even after the twist tweet on monday, he was sitting ducks. but i guess the fan outbursts finally got to him.

Agree with both of you completely. RK's expressions felt quite poignant, even when he was draping the chunri over Madhu's head.

Another thing that struck me was the touching of feet - like you said in your post Ananya - it was quite overwhelming and emotional. I don't think I've ever done that for my husband😆, but when I watched Madhu do it, could understand the combo of devotion/love that made her do it.

PS: am probably the only one on the forum today who actually loved Madhu's outfit - simple, classy and then dressed up with the beautiful chunri. Appropriate because it is the second time around (and maybe not even the final time they get married!)

OK, now I'm just waiting till tomorrow - and have resolved to take a very Zen like approach to the next week.
