I remember Daimaa her character was there in the beginning as the midwife of sorts of the area where the Chaudhry's lived. She was called the Chaudhry's house to see if the baby Padmini was carrying was a boy or girl, when Padmini was called before her highly pregnant, Daimaa asked her to walk several paces away and walk back to her and by that alone she was able to tell the sex of the baby she was carrying. She lied to Balraj to save Padmini's life and the new born's life then later revealed to Padmini that she should run away before the Chaudhry's take her for a scan the next day, as she had lied, Padmini took her help to escape that night with Trishna.
The dialogue I remember from her was when Balraj was hanging her and was all set to shoot the stool from under her and kill her, Daimaa said she would choose her own death and killed herself before Balraj could take her life, I didn't like that decision she made as she is taking the sin upon herself of committing suicide, he wanted to kill her let him take all the sin.My favourite dialogue from her was the one she told was when she told Balraj and his mother it was a boy that was to be born.
