I had very mixed feelings about today's episode. On one hand everything seemed to make sense , on the other hand it did not.
Radha as expected was on seventh heaven. Now that she sees reconcillation with her son on horizon and lines of communication have been opened, she is determined to hold on to her son. She credits Madhu for change in RK and runs to share the good news with Padmini, a mother and thanks her for Madhu's sanskari upbringing. I am still waiting to see how Bhatia clan reacts to this latest change. Once again Radha is focussed internally and her gain...I think she still does not get RK's perspective (probably because she is not aware of Bhatia clan's wrongdoings or has been turning blind eye to it). While RK might have decided to let go of his grudge...forging trust and a close relationship is a time taking process and will need a lot of effort from both parties. Given Radha's past passiveness...I am not sure how much effort she is going to make.
Rishbala fight and then makeup. RK's trust issues has been brought out openly between the couple and discussed. Both also agree that they are in love and they do not have much choice in the matter. RK understands that he has hurt Madhu and Madhu understands the reasoning behind his actions and wisely agrees that this is a time taking process and she is willing to help him if he would make an effort too. Both still want to get away but with a hope to return back. I was not surprised that RK still wanted to leave because he seemed to yearn simpler life and try different vocation. Also his reasoning for leaving was never trust issue but more of the ups and downs of showbiz and his concern that he might be nearing the end of his superstardom. What surprised me is that he wanted to do it despite knowing that Madhu was not very happy about it and Madhu was agreeable to it. On the other hand it made complete sense since RK needs to get away from it all to put everything in perspective and regain his belief in relationships. I assume the plan now is modified to maintaining a different household and RK bidding end to his current career. They would stay away from family but not cut ties completely. I am not very concerned about Padmini's stand because she does care about Rishbala's happiness and I can see her stand by thier decision once she understands thier reasoning.
RK forewarns Madhu that loving him would not be easy, he could burn her- Madhu still wants it because the regret if she does not burn in his love would be too great. She further adds that she will make a celebration of love from his fire. Nice symbolism- I like the fact that the couple are aware of challenges that thier love is bound to face due to thier personalities and external factors and still plan to persist.
I am guessing that the track was introduced to put Radha at odds with Bhatias, start the process of RK's healing and showing that Dips has lost her leverage on Rishbala. The track also creates a situation where someday Madhu will have to choose RK and his mad scheme above everyone else and very openly even at the cost of being ridiculed and slandered. I keep wondering if Madhu will once again fail him.
Interestingly Madhu's promise is completed and RK's is in works. While RK has decided to try to resolve his trust issues and his relationships are on mend, Madhu and Padmini are poised to be betrayed by Trishna. The track brought several questions to my mind -
1) I am still unclear about Dips motivations and why she plays her games with RK. Is she still in love with him? Does she want his money? Why did she marry Sikky in a hurry (she should have waited until the movie was release)? What pains was she refering to in yesterday's episode? Does she regret her decision to dump RK? Does she still want a career in showbiz? Her motivations will determine if she will play an active role in future plots.
2)Is RK still determined to get Trishna settled before he leaves? If he does...then he will want to fund her movie once Ballu's truth is out but that means that Bhatias will get shortchanged in the process.
3)Assuming that the couple genuinely plans to return back-what happens to the will. Will RK plan to keep some assets aside for his return? How will Bhatias react to the whole thing? Radha is going to want to hold onto RK while Bhatias will want him out. Ideally they would want RK gone permenantly so that they can enjoy 60 crores + , he has bestowed on them. As for Radha-Kuku is going to get her to sign away her share to him and then throw her out. I can see immense potential in the track if that is the way, they plan to go. However that would mean RK's trust will once again be shattered but this time Madhu will be a witness to it.
On a sweet note...As expected I see the couple enjoying the Shamini marraige prep now that they have some clarity between them before everything falls apart again . They just battled with lady snake and defeated her...itna to banta hai boss! They are not shy to admit that they are crazily in love and make a public spectacle out of it much to the frustation of Dips and Trishna. I assume we are headed for fulfilled and romantic sangeet and ring ceremony where the couple uses the Shamini ceremony to catch up on rituals of thier marraige in private.
