Adam is just being his usual fun and gay self. He isn't doing anything overtly different. So for Madhu everything is normal on the friends front.

Madhu has too much on her plate right now to figure out someone else's feelings. Reasons being,

(1) Madhu is in denial. She is in a state where she doesn't want to acknowledge that she has feelings for Rishab let alone his feelings for her.

(2) She is trying to suppress her feelings/emotions/actions.

All this takes a lot out of a person. It is a lot to deal with.

MADHU IS CONFUSED AND RISHAB IS NOT HELPING EITHER

THE BEST IS THE WAY THEY ARE EXPLORING THEIR FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER AND HAVE NOT FALLEN HEAD LONG INTO LOVE

EVEN RISHAB IS ATTRACTED TO MADHU WAS DOESNT WANT TO YET ACT ON IT TILL MADHU IS CLEAR ABOUT HIS FEELINGS

What u have to understand is though Madhu has come to acknowledge that she is in love.. she is also fearful of the fact that loving someone is going to take her away from everyone & everything she now holds sacred.. hence the statement made earlier - a tributary flowing towards the ocean (Rishab) leaving behind the river (family).. here the question is does she want to take the leap?

Rishab on the other hand is not the epitome of romance.. In the past it was all about humping & bumping & then dumping.. he has no idea how to deal with the situation.. give him a boardroom problem & he will solve the shyt out of it.. here he is out of his comfort zone..

Chapter 28

Rishab climbed into his tent, zipping it up behind him and trying to be quiet as he stripped off his outer gear. He glanced over his shoulder when he heard Kapoor shift in her sleeping bag. "You're still awake," he said quietly. "Yeah, I was waiting for you," she joked. "You were, huh?" He finished stripping down as far as he dared and hurried to get into his own sleeping bag.

"To be honest, I just haven't been able to fall asleep. Don't know why. What about you? Did you get your group back together?" "I guess I'll know in the morning," he answered as he shifted around to get comfortable. She frowned. "In the morning?"

"I may have to take one member of the group back down the mountain." He sighed. "I asked her to think about it and let me know in the morning." "The girl with the big brown eyes?" He bent his right arm and rested his head on it. "Yeah. Obvious, huh?"

"Kinda," she rolled to her side to look at him. "Wanna tell me what the real problem is with her?" "She's not alone," he muttered cryptically. "Huh?" she lifted one eyebrow in question. "You remember me emailing you and Akash about the girl whose paintings I bought back home?" Kapoor's eyes grew large. "That's her?"

He nodded. "Oh, yeah, that's her." "She's the one who is always on your mind, huh?" she asked with a smile.

He turned his head to look at her and smiled sadly. There was no use not telling her the story, she would either nag him or strong arm him till he told her everything. Thats why he preferred Akash, Akash normally let him tell him things at his own pace.

"You love her, don't you?" it was more a statement than a question. "I don't ... Oh hell... Yes, I love her." "You ever told her that?" "Told her what? That I love her?" "Yeah."

"No, not in so many words. Doesn't change the fact that she isn't interested in me, she doesn't love me." "You didn't tell her you love her and you want to walk away from her without saying anything, right?"

"I have to. I don't want to, but it is what is best for her." Kapoor snorted. "You don't know how she feels about you and if she loves you too, then it isn't what is best for her."

"Kapoor," he sighed, "You know me. I have dated a lot while in university and later on too but it has never lasted for some reason or the other. I could blame them, call them gold diggers, but I also know that it wasn't all their fault. I too share in the blame. I was never able to emotionally open up to any of them. After a while I just stopped trying. Then I met you and we weren't into each other. We became fast friends, friends with benefits. And it was fine for a while, till you fell for Shaan. We just decided to be friends after that. Akash maybe my oldest buddy but you are definitely the sensible one."

Kapoor nodded her head, "Yes, I agree. If I wasn't around who would solve yours and Akash's disastrous love lives." and laughed. Akash unzipped the tent at the moment, poking his head in he asked, "What's going on? Heard all the laughter and decided to join the party."

"Ouuuhh.. Come in quickly and zip up the tent, I am freezing", Kapoor said while pulling him inside. "Rishab is in middle of telling us his love story. We might need to give him pointers." Rishab rubbed his face in frustration saying, "What is this... a slumber party?"

Kapoor turned to Akash and spoke real quickly trying to bring him up to speed, all the while ignoring Rishab, as if he wasn't there. "So Rishab likes nooo loves Madhu, the girl with the big brown eyes. He doesn't know what to do about it and is currently wallowing in self pity. I think that sums it up. Oh wait, one more thing, I am the sensible one", she finished her ranting and turned towards Rishab with a look that said continue with what you were saying.

At first Akash was taken aback with the sudden information but slowly a small smile formed on his face which turned into a goofy grin. Rishab looked from Kapoor to Akash, who were eagerly waiting for more details. Shaking his head and giving up, he continued, "When I am around her, I feel... I feel happy. I adore the way she bites her bottom lip when she is thinking. She looks so cute when she is all mad, the way her nose and ears turn red. And the way she gets worried about her friends, like today when I had the almost accident." As he spoke, he had a faraway look on him.

"Then hell, Rishab, what're you waiting for? Forget the past and tell her you love her!", Kapoor said loudly slightly jumping up in excitement. "Yeah, and whaddaya suggest I do with the accessory she brought along?" She shrugged. "Get him outta your way! Kick him outta the group. Hell, I'll take him back down the mountain with me." "Trust me that thought entered my mind, but getting rid of him needs to be her choice."

"I know," she shifted over to rest on her back. "But ya have to tell her that you have feelings for her, Rishab." "Yeah, lemme just ask Adumb to step aside so I can tell his girlfriend that I've got feelings for her."

"Wait, back up a minute. Adumb as in Adam. You think Adam is her boyfriend?" Akash asked and started laughing hysterically. Rishab and Kapoor looked at him as if he had turned insane.

Through bouts of laughter, Akash finally said, "I think given the choice, Madhu and Adam would be fighting over you." Rishab continued to look at him confused. "Dude, Adam is gay."

"What?", Rishab asked shocked. "There obstacle removed." Kapoor chuckled. "So now you have no genuine reason not tell her."

"And how should I tell her?" "Just... I don't know, say it. Kiss her, whatever." He snorted softly. "She asked me not to kiss her." She lifted her eyebrows in surprise. "You already tried?" "When I followed her outta camp to make sure she was okay. I told her if she didn't stop me I was gonna kiss her."

Kapoor snorted. "Since when do you actually do what you've been told to do?" "Since I looked into her eyes and saw them full of tears." She didn't know what to say to that. "You've got nothing to lose Rishab. Let her know the truth and let her decide if she loves you back or not. If not, then at least you don't have to spend the rest of your life asking what could've been."

"First thing I've gotta do is convince her not to go back down the mountain tomorrow." He sighed and lay back, staring up at the ceiling of the tent. But how was he gonna change her mind?

Haha I loved when Akash said " I think given the choice, Madhu and Adam would be fighting over u" 😆
I'm happy that finally he's aware of Adam being gay
